Sorry to be a killjoy, but you wont get a world record.

a) It's unlikely there will be 120,000 watching Tony Christie
:D You'd have to inform Guiness World Records of your attempt, they'd have to have a "viewer" there and you'd have to prove over 120,000 people were involved.
c) You wouldnt get 120,000 joining it by the time the song has finished

But sounds fun anyway...if I'm there I'll keep an eye out for it!

Surely you could break the world record for the most people in some kind of naked conga line?

I need full reassurance Christie will play Amarillo, if he does what Shakin Stevens did to people last year I actually vow to kill him, I will make it my destiny!

From talking to some pals who are also tavelling it seems now that there's a good group of people interested in giving this a go.

I reckon my brother & i will probably get a couple of T-Shirts printed for the laugh with 'Glasto 2009 Conga Dance' on them!

I got a T-Shirt made up today for myself & my brother saying - Front - Glasto 09 - Back - Let's Do The Conga. Now you'll know who we are for the big event!!!

Will upload an image of the T-Shirt in the next few days.

I'll also post final details next weekend for the arrangements to set off on our conga dance. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. My thinking is that we meet to the right of the sound stage at the Pyramid stage & once Tony Christie starts Amarillo we'll head off with hopefully a big line of people in the conga line.

Fantastic. Really looking forward to it. Should be a good laugh. I reckon if we all turn up we should get a huge line of people involved.

See you all there!

Brilliant! I'll be there fo shizzle!

I reckon if a fair few people start of, everyone will start following like sheep. Pull this off and it'll be legendary!

Just really hope he opens with it because I have no desire to listen to any of his other songs. I know the git will save it for last too! Luckily there's nothing else on so I guess I could hold on to the very end.

I reckon like you we'll have to sit through his entire set before he sings it! It'll be worth it in the end!

The best place to meet to begin our conga dance is right behind the sound stage at the Pyramid.

As mentioned earlier myself & my brother have T-Shirts with 'Lets do the conga' written on the back! Hope to see loads of you there for Amarillo for what should be a memorable Glastonbury moment.
