Hi all,
Any of you interested in creating a conga dance to Tony Christies's Amarillo on Sunday?
If so here's the plan:
Meet to the right of the sound stage (as you face the stage) at the start of his set. At the start of the song it's off we go hopefully with hundreds in tow.
What do you think? Interested?
If there's a good response we'll plan in more detail.

Sounds like a World Record could be on the cards here...
...a quick bit of research shows the longest conga line consisted of 119,986 people. You need less than 70% of the Glasto crown - surely almost guaranteed - go for it!!

That world record seems achievable!!! 3 down, 119,983 people to go.............
If anything we can set an all time Glastonbury record and have a good laugh along the way.

Wow that's an outstanding idea...world record or no world record. Just imagine an enormous humain train making it's way across Glastonbury...amazing!
And after it, all 119,987 of us can head to the Cider Bus for a toast!
Count me in, i'll see you there

To be honest an organized meet for a conga line seems a bit silly...how hard would it be to start one with random people in the crowd! Just go for it there and then, this idea of a meet seems impractical, seeing as you won't even know for sure when he will play it.
But if your that nuts for the idea, then go for it!

It's all about letting people know & if they want to be there all the better.
I agree that once we start loads will join in but at least in advance you know it's going to happen anyway.
It's all a bit of fun!

Sorry to be a killjoy, but you wont get a world record.
a) It's unlikely there will be 120,000 watching Tony Christie
You'd have to inform Guiness World Records of your attempt, they'd have to have a "viewer" there and you'd have to prove over 120,000 people were involved.
c) You wouldnt get 120,000 joining it by the time the song has finished
But sounds fun anyway...if I'm there I'll keep an eye out for it!

I know there's no hope of a world record. I only put it down as a laugh. If we got 50 people all having a good time then it's a result.
I reckon we should head off up the hill then across the field to finish up close enough to the Cider Bus for a well earned drink!!

Unfortunately I hate that song so I shall be as far away as I can possibly be.

My 7 mates and some other mates of mates are well up for it.
We're thinking of all wearing something similar to distinguish ourselves...any ideas? Also be a great shot for the BBC cameras!
