Me and 2 mates are so keen for beni this year (first-timers) and have flights sorted and our festival tickets...

BUT

We are really struggling with our travel within Spain.

We're flying from Bristol to Alicante and arrive in our destination at 10am Monday 13th.
The train we were going to book leaves at around 11:20, but is now fully booked and the next one is at 3pm and doesn't get us in till 6pm. This isnt TOO big a deal.

Our Main problem lies in getting back home.

We're flying from Alicante to Newquay for our return journey, and the flight leaves at 17:20. We've looked on the Renfe website and it seems there isnt a train early enough to get us to the airport in time for our flight.

We've had a look for a bus or coach service going to and from the airport and are really struggling to find any, so if anyone could lend a hand it'd be much appreciated. I'm hoping i havn't just missed something bleeding obvious...

Cheers guys

Jack

Sorry if this has been brought up before but i'm not one for trawling through pages of posts.

Yeh, we have considered this, but are treating it as a last resort (would rather spend an extra night on the campsite) seeing as though we're students and money is a bit of an issue  :)

Anyone know of any bus/coach services running between the two locations?

if you're airline allows online check in, do that and just get the train and bolt as fast as you can once you get into the station and you'll make it with seconds to spare!!

Get a train from Castellon instead.

Hey Jack!

Did you sort your trains?  You didn't say what day your flight home was.  I'm in a pickle too - need to get to alicante on the monday and trains full.  Eek.  Massively stressed as will be on my own for the return journey as friends are staying a few extra days (lucky sods).  Argh!  So I looked at Castello, and can potentially get a train from there (except site keeps crashing) but I can't get a train to Castello in time?!  Should I just risk it make my way there somehow on the day?

Also, someone said that if you don't book, you will have to stand.  So can we get a train ticket last minute and just not have a seat?  Cz that would be fine.

Finally, there are seats left for non-tourists.  Can I just get on of those???  ARGHHHHHHHHHH

If you don't book, you won't get on. They only sell the seats that are available, then say they're full.

Much more civilised than the English way of just cramming everyone on and letting them sit in a toilet, but not very helpful to you right now, I guess.

Check out the buses. The main companies is Alsa.

Have a look here: http://www.alsa.es/portal/site/Alsa

Good luck, dude. I´m lucky enough to be driving (I live a short way north of Benidorm), but if I think of anything else, I´ll post.
