I think it looks promising certainly. Good noises being made, and very nice weather for the 1st week of June at least.

TBH. I'd take one thundery shower (so long as my tent held firm) if the rest of the week was dry.

Week 4/5 22nd-30th June

With a proviso about detail at this range, the end of June looks as if it may be quite settled again as high pressure moves back in from the west so becoming progressively more settled and warmer again in most parts but especially in the south; where exactly the high pressure lies will determine exact weather patterning. A chance initially of low pressure moving close to the NW of the UK bringing spells of rain and showers here but the high pressure should affect these parts too for a time at least. In this period central & eastern England perhaps staying driest with the most in the way of sunshine, though some mist patches are possible overnight in inland areas. Always the chance of another breakdown from the SW or areas of thundery rain affecting the SE by the end of the month again but the north perhaps staying generally drier and sunnier with warm days & some mist and fog patches by night inland.

Temperatures staying near or above average for most parts,& locally very warm at times, rainfall below average and sunshine generally somewhat above average on the whole.

We always camp on high ground. So felt relieved in the year of the Great Thunder Storm as the skies opened. Then we realised we were on the highest point of the highest hill in a thunder storm and next to a 30 ft high steel pole carrying the lighting cables down the hill.

When it passed directly overhead it was the scariest thunder storm I've even been in.

Later in the day as the skies cleared and we looked down on a sea of devastation we were quite relieved that our tents had survived.

We then had bedraggled people coming up the hill who'd lost everything. We took one person into our encampment and gave him food and drink and lent him a few quid as he'd even lost his wallet. Then a couple came up the hill who'd decided to leave because they didn't fancy the mud. They gave him their tent.

The way people helped each other out was Glasto at its best.
