Mate got a thing sent from Australia a few years back which holds 4 pints safely when you come away from the bar at festies.
Looked for similar this year and came across this site
http://carryaround.com/
Ordered some with Glastonbury 2009 on them and they came really quick from Gloucester to North Scotland and look brilliant. Certainly save with spilling when pushing back from Brothers bar.
I've no connection with the company but thought they are worth sharing with efesters

Good post! Have just ordered a couple, will come in very handy, no risk of breaking and save a few trees in the process

They do seem handy! May get one. But I'm gonna have to start limiting my spending on Glastonbury! I managed to spend about £20 in pounland and 99p store today, nearly all on Glastonbury! Already spent £50+ on clothes and haven;t even thought about booze yet!

I've seen a few people at festivals wearing a kind of sling type of thing to put tinnies in, does anyone know where to get them from?
Nothing worse than having to give up your hard earned to get to the bar.
Cheers !

Hard earned spot, that should be.

I'm sure that most bars in Glastonbury already offer cardboard holders when you buy a few pints from them?

Maybe not this year, but if we all started getting them the festival would order less and less cardboard ones each year as demand goes down. So we may not save a tree this year but will in years to come!
Oh dear, was I trying to change/hippyfy the world again? Shit... I'll get my coat.

You can get them from here on ebay:

They work really well at keeping cans cool and make it loads easier to carry them around!

Just wanted to say a very big thankyou to the people who suggested these:

You were a life saver, particularly when I lost all my mates for blur right after I bought 4 pints and the bar had run out of cardboard thingys. Absolute genius!!! They're safely tucked away for next year and the tube things were bloody great too.

I love mine too, so useful and everyone wanted to know where they were from. I stayed on site until earlier today and the number of unused cardboard carriers that went in the bin was sickening. They haven't gone to recycling either apparently, along with a load of other waste. I learnt a lot about the site and the things that go on, I'm not very impressed or happy! Will summarise in a proper post when I can be bothered.

I'd got one of the carryround holders for everyone in our group and they were very well received. They definetly allow a lot more mobility than the cardboard ones you get. Getting the pints out though was a bit trickier but we managed in the end.
