Hi Alex
The bands finish at about 11 but I think the Bacardi and Strongbow tents are open for a bit later.
The main attraction provided by V after hours is the former JJB tent turns into a cinema and shows films until about 4am. But the majority of people have parties back at their tents and drink booze they have brought in. If you want to party all night camp in the red campsite.
I think V operate a challenge 21 policy but your best off trying to smuggle booze into the arena. If it rains the more booze you can smuggle in. Last year I wore a big poncho and duct taped eight cans around my waist of my boxer shorts. did this three times and did not get caught once!
If it is sunny then its a bit more tricky but what the girlfriend does is get a bag of wine or cider puts it in the bottom of her bag, puts load of sanitary stuff on top of it and goes straight for the male security works like a treat.

lol yea thats the only advantage of bad weather, you can smuggle into the arena with a little more ease!
Getting served in the arena is ridiculous Alex, me and my mates always keep a tally of how many times we get asked for ID throughout the day, the person with the most gets the last round in (we're all 24+) so it won't be easy mate. But you should be able to survive with whatever you take to the campsite and if you manage to blag people to go the bar for you.
You'll only need entertainment on the Friday/Thursday nights (if you get the early entry tickets) Saturday and Sunday most people go back to the campsites for parties!

Bugger all to be honest! My one and only V experience must rank alongside the most boring weekends of my life.
Why in god's name they force you to leave your booze at the tent and segregate camping is beyond me.
Corporate robbing bastards and that goes for Reading and Leeds too.

If you want to have a laugh you can on the Friday night - the indie disco is well worth a look!
Yes you can't take alcohol in the arena but if you want cheap drinks then have a few back at the tent, its not rocket science...

Just outta curiosity, how much does a pint cost in the arena?

Im almost positive it was more than £3.10 last year. More close the the £3.50 mark i thought. But it goes up every year anyway so its irrelevant. Probably be about £4 this year
And as for the night life if you want the truth then there isnt one!! Your hurded back to your tent like sheep at 11pm

me and my mates collected 287 last year
It wasn't my idea, they all started rooting through bins and stuff...

I think it shows how dear drink is over here that 3.50 iseems really chap to me, especially for a festival. You'd prolly pay about 7 euro over here for a pint.
