I see Electric Picnic in Ireland have booked them...any chance Eavis might let a bit of classic 80s synth in?
Honestly would love to see this band.

I'd be interested,
They must play
Space Age Love Song,
Nightmares,
Living in Heaven,
They must avoid the 4th LP altogether!

The band were missing, but there was an actual flock of seagulls. At times it gave the area behind the pyramid the aura of a landfill site - revolting! I don't remember it from previous visits, but once I spotted it I kept seeing them and it did just make me think of the local tip. That and the "haze", which seemed worse, I guess due to some complex combination of humidity and pressure (a weather drone will be along to explain imminently I fear).

Have been looking into this phenomenon myself and see my sig down below...it is all true. Not going to say any more than that cos you will just all think me totally barmy and a whacked out hippy but the seagulls and the Vortices of Doom were very much linked....I think

'I Ran So far Away', ace song, that and 'Wishing ....' would be great to hear in the field.
Now if you're getting them could I have the Lotus Eaters playing 'First Picture of You' please!

For some reason I ended up giving an entirelecturediscussion on this. Seagulls often follow bad weather, to pick at the stuff left around. The flock is formed with a couple of birds that act as outriders and once they have spotted some pickings, no matter how meagre, the rest of the flock will follow. We were sat on Blue Route watching what appeared to be a re enactment of Hitchcocks "The Birds", but the birds were not attacking Jessica Tandy, but half a ham sandwich. That was the highlight of my day

Badly Drawn Boy covered this in the Avalon tent, one of my highlights, he also did a great cover of Stone Roses I Wanna Be Adored. Great set

I saw them as we were leaving the site. Huge flock of seagulls swooping down over the fields looking for leftovers.
