Anyone know the difference in Web and Estrella prices?

The Web prices are the cheapest you can get but are not transferrable to any other trains/times than the one you bought and available up to 15 days before you travel. You can only get a 50% refund on these tickets.
Estrella tickets are transferrable with a 15% surcharge and a better cancellation refund and are available up to 7 days before you travel.

how far is this place from Beni then? gotta be better than taxi'in it from Valencia tho ay
its the next town along, i think about 15-20 minute drive.
Yeah Beni to Valencia cost me €100 one way last year, and our driver got lost in Valencia. The last thing we needed, as we were still wasted from the last night

the london office wasn't +44 (0) 20 7725 7063 was it? the phone number for spanish-rail.co.uk
I was reading in there terms that they charge a 10 euro per person 'administration fee'
were you charged this? or has anybody used spanish rail in the past?
Cheers
Edit: I definitley wouldn't reccomend spanish rail they phoned me up as soon as i posted this message to let me know that the 250 euro price renfe would have charged me, for the same trains they were going to charge me 350 (for 7 people btw)
Looking like i may have to chance the train on the day
I'm getting the first train on sunday 12th tarragona to benicassim, then going back beni to tarragona 21st july. I wouldn't have thought these would sell out anyway? what do you think my on the days chances are?
Thanks for any help

Your on the day chances getting back from Beni are probably close to zero. Also everytime I've gone from Barcelona to Beni the station has been packed out with festival goers and since they'll be getting on the train before you do in Tarragona that's going to cut down on spare places there might otherwise have been. Also there's no standing room on those trains, either you buy a ticket before you get on or you don't get on.

that's the number i called, it was 5 euros per person i got charged. why not just pay the extra if it guarantees you peace of mind that you'll get home and not having to wait in stifling hot heat in a queue of about 500 folk waiting on the 5 empty seats per train that comes along?!!

i really need some advice as ive never been to benicassim or spain for that matter.
Me and some friends are flying into barcelona on the 13th we are on different flights but im coming in the latest.
flight details
Depart 13 Jul 2009 16:25
Arrive 13 Jul 2009 19:25
to barcelona airport, the thing is it looks like the latest train leaving to benicassim station that day is at 19:30 i called the spanish rail office in london about a month ago and the guy said there might be increased service. has anyone heard any news about this? the website doesnt indicate anything of the sort.
also i couldnt find castellon on the station list on the renfe website, is it something different in spanish?
what would you recommend to do in this situation :/ getting quite worried.

Book yourselves a hotel/hostel in Barcelona for the 13th, go out and have a few drinks and some scran. Then get on the Renfe website and book your train tickets for the 14th Barcelona Sants to Benicassim.
Dont forget to book your tickets the other way too. Also what time is your flight home from Barceolona? Think the earliest train back from Beni doesnt get you in til around 1.30

Ahhh the benefit of being the only Spanish speaker in a group of 12 mates headed for benicassim....

What is the chance of train tickets getting sold out? Can't buy them as soon as they come out, just don't have the funds!
