I was meant to be going away in august but the trip has been postponed until next year.  Already booked the time off work so was thinking of heading to a festival for a weekend.  Am booked off from the 14th - 30th August can anyone recommend a desent festival, i'll more than likely be going on my own so friendly atmosphere is more important than line up.  I'm a regular glastonbury goer and also going to Big Green Gathering this year.  Live in Worcester, happy to travel a reasonable distance.

Would appreciate any thoughts,
Thanks   :P

Sorry bout spelling, cider!

Im pissed too!

I would totally and utterly recommend Summer Sundae Weekender

http://www.summersun...at_id=1&level=1

The things Id recommend about it would be

Diverse music but all picked on quality not quantity
Friendliest atmosphere ever - from punters to staff to everyone - never seen ant=y hassle in the last 4 years
Brilliantly organised - cant emphasise how well it os organised enough
Not at all corporate
Drinks at pub prices or take your own - superb real ale and cider and cocktails
loads of other stuff - comedy, spoken word, cinema this year]
You can walk round the entire site in 20 mins

Seriously, this is the most brilliant smallish festival there is - it has its own forum on these boards (e festivals is actually a sponsor of SSW) and if you go and have a look, you'll see there is nothing but love for the festival from those that post - its the most positive board on here. The line up this year is nothing short of genius

Yes, Summer Sundae definitely - I love it!!! And if you get lonely you can hang out with us at the stall with all the fluorescent stuff - if we really like you we might even invite you for tea as I have an ex-chef with me! Last year he made us full breakfast every day, lunches of hams, olives, stuffed chillies, pitta bread etc, dinners consisting of steak  :P one night, chicken/chilli pasta, and all sorts of other feasts! I wish I could take him to every fest

Well we're going to Green Man festival for a week holiday ticket 17-23 August. The fest is on the weekend of 20th August- but you can camp from Monday-Monday and enjoy the Brecon Beacons first and then the fest!..

The line up is amazing and we really fancy being in the Welsh hills away from everything.

Ticks all the boxes for us...

Beautiful Days in Devon

On the same Bank Holiday are Shambala in Nothants and Solfest in Cumbria. I always do Solfest but it is a very close call.
