So where are all the bands? Maybe the best stage of the lot, and 4 or 5 confirmed bands so far?  :D

Tinariwen and Michael Franti being two I'll defo see, (and obviously, but doubtful that he'll be there, BB King).

Huh? :o

It's normally the case that Jazzworld gets mostly booked later than the other stages, so that's likely to be at least in part the reason for lack of public info currently.

If you missed Eddy Grant last year and then heard afterwards just how fantastic it was, then if I've got this one right I'm giving you plenty of warning so there can be no excuses.....

I have a feeling that you might see Chic on Jazzworld .... and if you do you're in for a HUGE treat, as I'm sure anyone who caught them last year at various fests can testify. <_<

Really really hoping that The Dave Matthews Band will be announced for the Jazz World for Saturday night.

They're over here doing 2 nights at Brixton Academy, Hyde Park on sunday with Springsteen and Wolverhampton on the monday...but their diary is free for that saturday. A new album out at the startof june is also a good sign that it might happen, hopefully!

I saw Tinariwen with Tunng in March in Manchester this year - Absolutely top notch . I always feel that the Jazz world stage has the best sound as well .

Toots and the Maytals are playing the Secret Garden Party on 26th June. I wouldn't be suprised if they were playing Jazzworld. I can't see anything in their calendar for a few days after that!!!

Can't say anything about Chic, don't know them. But Eddy Grant last year was sooooo good. A highlight of the festival. The chief sound engineer was being booed by every cus Eddy Grant was being told to finish up <_<

might check chic out if there gonna be something to see.

Saw Eddy and Chic at Womad last year and I had a great time at both.
Chic are definitely not my sort of thing, but my wife determined that we had to see them and I have to admit they were a riot.

Ahhhh Freak Out!!!  :)

...candi staton was superb last year.

for this, I'm thinking acoustic ladyland are probably in with a good chance. Touring around that time; (in scotland on the friday though) and haven't played for a little while. Hoping for youngblood brass band aswell as touring in april and may; hoping they'll come back for the festival circuit.

Otherwise I think Amadou & Mariam are high possibilities, as playing the blur gig at hyde park the following week. Love them to be there, and others I saw a little while ago that I thought were possible were herbie hancock (playing RAH 2 weeks later), and George Benson (playing RAH the thursday after glasto)
