swanseajack61
I am starting to think yes. I got myself a camper van ticket earlier this week for less than face value on ebay, this time last year they were going for well over £200. Either people dont want to use the camper van field this year or the attendance will be much lower this year than in previous years. Could be line up, credit crunch or the piss poor organisation at last years festival. Whatever the reason there doesnt seem to be such a high demand for tickets this year. staffsknot
This could be the silver lining to the credit crunch - shed loads of ticket touts go out of business and we actually get a better deal on tickets. I think when people think rationally music comes a bit down the list of priorities with the glum prospects, if you need to cut back then gigs is one easy area. I booked my ticket straight after V '08 and I view my festivals and gigs over the summer as an alternative to 2 weeks abroad. I am going for a short stay in Geneva but keeping the pennies for the music and motorbike racing.
barsie
I've left it too late to buy official tickets as they seem to be sold out- so things can't be too bad.

barsie
Well a beer in Paris anywhere touristy was aprox £5 when I was there before abour 5-6 years ago. So I guess the £ to euro plus inflation and mad french it's now out of control.
