I was thinking of getting a coach and camping ticket from Brighton when they go on sale.
I was just wondering, are you given the day and time of your coach or can you chose which coach to get on?
If you are given the day and times, your not given stupid times are you (a couple of years ago at Glastonbury peoples coaches were leaving the camsite Sunday afternoon)
I would want to get there on the day the campsite opens as early as possable (and leave Monday!), but am worried the coach would be late Friday.
Alternatly I could drive (if there is a car park) but thought the coach would be easier

Thankyou for any info

Hi Cassw,

Take a look at biggreencoach.com. Coach and festival ticket packages and coach only tickets will be going on sale on Fri 6th March.

Sorry - there is no direct route from Brighton due to limited demand in recent years but there will be coaches leaving regularly from Central London throughout the Friday and returning on the Monday. You are able to choose the time of the coach when booking.

BigGreenCoach are however interested in listening to customers needs so if there is a big group of you travelling from Brighton then we would be happy to look at setting up a departure from there too.

We are pleased you are looking at travelling by coach rather than by car - here are just a few of the benefits:

1. Coaches are pretty low cost.
2. They are very environmentally friendly.
3. The festival starts the minute you board the coach as you will only be travelling with other festival goers.
4. But the most important thing is that you can sleep off the hangover from hell after a full weekend of V Festival partying!

Big Green Coach are an Official Travel and Ticket provider to this year's V Festival

Any questions, let me know.

@bigreen,

Just booked with you guys from London to Chelmford and have a couple of questions.
- Are you departing London Victoria coach terminal?
- Is it the same set up that National Express offered last year? Same drop-off point and camping area?

I went for the National Express offer last year and was very happy with the service, especially not having to wait for hours queuing to get into the car park or having to lug heavy bags and equipment for miles across the site. The only problem we had was a psychotic turkish woman bus driver that held us hostage for 2 hours (a long and painful story).

So, bigreen, giving this experience, can you please ensure:
- The coach drivers triple-check with all passengers the destination of the coach they are on before departure.
- All your coach drivers have a map of the site clearly marking where they must go.
- Festival stewards be briefed about your coach service to ensure coaches are sent to the correct location on site.

If you can manage this then I'm sure we'll all have a fantastic V!

@biggreen,

What's going on with the prices? This morning I bought 2 tickets from London to Chelmsford from biggreencoach.co.uk and the total was £405

This afternoon two friends of mine bought the coach package from seetickets.com and their total was £375!

So I then went back to biggreencoach.co.uk and re-did the search only this time the total including booking fee was £385!

Why the difference between this morning and this afternoon? Can I get a refund?

Also, is the see tickets coach offer a different service to the biggreencoach offer? Is the drop-off the same location? Is camping for both in the Yellow zone?

I got the coach package from See tickets last year for £185 from Brighton, it was alright to be honest, left from Brighton station about 10am Friday, the only downside as someone else has mentioned is that the coach back left at 8:30am Monday morning.

But then again you have to think about it sensibly, the coaches aren't gonna wanna get stuck in the all the traffic are they? We were back in brighton by about 11am, showered and fed by midday, was well worth the hassle of getting up believe me. I believe there are still tickets now, it is worth it rather than paying way over the odds prices through seperate companies. Glastonury coaches left at 4am or something stupid a couple of years ago, at least its not that bad!!

Also, in reply to you Cass the original poster, we were basically sent the coach tickets, told what time to be there and what coach to be on, you must be there on time, and you do have to get on the right coach, then when you get to the V site, i think you had to show the ticket for a wrist band. You must keep hold the coach ticket all weekend because you need that to get home!

Basically, if you miss the coach, then you won't be going to V!

Hi Spoonman,

Thankyou for booking with biggreencoach.

Hope I can answer some of your questions:

We are still awaiting final confirmations for the london departure sites but it 95% likely that coaches will be leaving from the Green Line Station which is directly across the road from Victoria Coach Station. All coach departure points will be confirmed by e-mail to all customers as soon as we have final confirmations from stations/local authorities etc.

All of our coaches will drop off and pick up at the dedicated festival site coach station which we will help manage. The camping is for the yelow site at Chelmsford which is a short walk from both the coach station and the arena area.

All of our coach operators receive a Drivers Pack which includes all directions/maps etc to ensure a smooth operation.

All passengers tickets are checked before boarding to ensure they are getting onto the right service.

We work closely with V Festival Staff/highways agency and other relevant agencies to ensure all are aware of our service and to limit any delays for our customers and coaches.

as far as the psychotic turkish driver is concerned....we do our best to limit the number of psychotic drivers we use!! :)

thankyou for your questions and we hope you have a fab V Festival
:)

Hi Spoonman,

Thank you for your message.
Our prices have not altered since going on sale Fri morning.
I have checked the costs for 2 ticket packages from london to Chelmsford and the correct cost is £405.
I am unsure why you were shown a different cost when you checked later in the day but can assure you no sales were made at this pricing level.

We recognise our prices are a little higher than some other companies- this is because we offer a more customer orientated service. When booking with us you are given the choice of coach departure times prior to booking so that you are fully aware of the times you will need to be at the coach stations.
We use dedicated station facilities for all departures and arrivals.
We provide staff upon arrival and departure at the V Festival site and where numbers dictate at departure locations across the country.

Other companies do not inform of departure and pick up times until up to a week before the festival - This means that you may have booked onto a coach you will struggle to make - thus missing the festival altogether  :D

Happy festivaling
:)

Hi Olispurs,

The coach and festival ticket packages are for the yellow campsite.

Hi, I want to buy the coach and camping ticket as that is the only way I can find to get a ticket but we don't want to actually use the coach, would we be able to do this? Thanks

Hi Lindsay,

Thanks for your question.

If you buy a coach and festival ticket package you must travel to the festival using the coach in order to collect your ticket. This is a stipulation of the festival organisers.
Tickets are collected on site at the V festival from the box office within the coach station - this is only accessible by passengers arriving by coach.

all in all - you get driven to the festival - get to have a wicked time - then get driven home again! no hungover driving to worry about!! :P

Hi Stacey,

sorry - I am unsure what campsite seetickets coach and ticket pckages are for. Ours at http://biggreencoach.co.uk are all for yellow site.
I would just give them a call direct to find out.

How long has Big green coach been running then cos i've never heard of it before? Did anyone use them last year as they seem to be implying?

Hi Shabading,

Thanks for your interest. Let me assure you Big Green Coach are a reputable company. Becoming OFFICIAL ticket and travel providers for festival organisers such as V Festival and Live Nation's Download Festival is no small feat! We also run services to The Green Man Festival and Bestival with more festival services still to be announced!

Our timetables and pick up locations are based on the general demographics of festival attendees which are supplied to us by the festival organisers - there just wasn't a big enough number of Brighton lads 'n' lasses to put a coach on!
As I mentioned in a previous message - if there is a big enough group of you we would be more than happy to look at putting a coach on! just let us know  :)

But u work 4 them so of course ur gona say they r reputable. Little bit misleading to talk about demand in recent yrs if u aint been doing coaches to the festivals before......

and anyway i was askin if anyone else has used bgc b4, which it doesnt seem they have. and how have u managed to get travel and ticket selling rights off national express? or are you national express in disguise?

I don't work for BGC, but I found this on the Official V Festival Site:

http://www.vfestival...big-green-coach

Does that help?
