Are you allowed to take alcohol into the campsite?
First year going to GG (been to Rockness and T in the Park - always taken as much drink as I can carry)

They haven't released any information regarding alcohol yet so it's too early to say. Up until last year you were allowed to bring alcohol into the campsite so long as it wasn't glass bottles or anything that had already been opened (so getting vodka and stuff like that in meant hiding it). Last year, though, the organisers said that there was no alcohol was allowed to be brought on- site whatsoever, and also they wouldn't be selling crates of Strongbow and Carlsberg that they had done the previous year. This meant that the only way you could get alcohol would be to buy it from the bars on site...or sneak it in.
I think they must have got too much stick for this though cause in the end they changed their minds and said they would be selling crates, but still no alcohol could be brought from outside. That didn't stop me and my mate getting in 4 bottles of spirits though.

Yea i've been 3 times to Global and each year i've smuggled in vodka in my sleeping bag!
TO be honest £40 for a case wasn't that bad considering what it cost for one can at the bar

smuggling bottles in worked year with a few bottles max a bag, so unless you wanna do like 20 runs getting your beers in just bring a bottle of vodka or whatever.
other stuff is a bit dodgy - the police have dogs. They also have a tent which isn't marked on the map, which contains bins full of used smelly rubber gloves. nuff said

Each year i've camped i've always been able to smuggle a bottle of vodka in inside my sleeping bag or tent bag. I don't think i've ever even had my bag searched to be honest!

You aren't allowed to bring alcohol into the festival, but if you buy alcohol there or sneak it into the festival you could hide it in your jeans or something.
