mike99
I got this email as most of you all would have but forgot bout it. Can efestivals give us information on this?. If you look on the highlighted text it says that they might have a annoucement in the next 2 weeks any news on this. I would think we may have some names sunday/monday your thoughts? Hello folks. A very happy new year to you from all of us at Worthy Farm (where, as you'll see from the pic, it's very chilly at the moment). TICKET NEWS / DEPOSIT BALANCES DUE If you're among the tens of thousands of people who've paid a £50 deposit for their 2009 Festival ticket, then you have until 11.59pm on Sunday February 1st to pay the balance of £125. To do that, go to www.seetickets.com/g2009/. That's the same link you should go to if you'd like to buy a ticket outright, or pay your £50 deposit (again, the balance will be due by Feb 1st). But you'd better be quick, because there aren't very many left. EMERGING TALENT CONTEST CLOSES THIS MONTH If you'd like to play at this year's Festival, then you've got a couple of weeks left to enter our 2009 Emerging Talent Competition, in association with Q magazine. The best acts will win slots at the Festival, but you need to get your entry in by January 26th. For all the info and to enter, head over to www.qthemusic.com. MICHAEL WINS ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD We're pleased to announce that Michael Eavis's extensive environmental efforts for the Festival will be recognised on January 19th when he is presented with the Green World Award at the Midem music industry conference in Cannes, France. For more information see www.midem.com. YOUR LINE-UP / OUR LINE-UP Over on the official Glastonbury Facebook page we've been asking who you'd like to see play at this year's Festival. Almost a thousand of you have responded so far and the team responsible for booking the acts have certainly been interested in your replies. Head over there to add your thoughts. While we're on the subject of the line-up, nothing has been officially confirmed yet (despite what you may have read), but we are hoping to announce some acts in the next fortnight. Keep it locked to glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for all the very latest official news. EMILY'S FAVOURITE ALBUMS OF 2008 We gave Emily Eavis a shout to find out what her favourite records of last year were. The Top 10 is as follows... 1. Little Joy - Little Joy 2. alibear
Surely it's a valid question to ask why we've received not lineup info yet, if the said we'd hear something in a couple of weeks on 7th Jan?

alibear
And there have been numerous threads about it already without starting a new one, plus a long discussion on the above email. And the OP is pretty known for starting duff threads. (If you say Radiohead I swear you'll lose a testicle!)

I believe that Bruce's other UK shows will be announced next week. It's likely that this announcement won't include Glasto, to give those other shows time to sell some tickets. Blur have London shows still to sell. Not sure what the status is with NY. But all that aside, certainly two weeks ago all the headliners were not signed and sealed, and until they are each signed and sealed they can't be announced. Limpet
I don't see why they cant release some names of acts that are playing Glasto but have big gigs in the summer. It's not like everyones gonna suddenly get tickets for Glasto instead of these summer stadium gigs................. THEY HAVE SOLD 90% OF THE TICKETS!!! There are hardly any tickets left!!!
