Endorse it in Dorset 7-9th August 2009
Ha ha! We’re back and it’s all good. Ignore the rumours that we’ve been sunning it up in Barbados; nothing could be further from the truth. We’ve been giving the festival a complete overhaul, listening to the feedback from the last 5 years and deciding how we can maintain EiiD’s reputation for quality entertainment in the current economic climate. And we’ve come up with the solution……
However, in true style we’re not going to spoil the surprise completely, but we will tell you this – the festival will still be on the same site, featuring the same quality of entertainment on over the same 3 days, with late entertainment, fun, frolics etc…
But will cost only £68!!!!!
Yep - £68 – that’s £7 cheaper per head than the last two years, as we held the 2007 price over to 2008. Facilities will be the same, entertainment will be of a similar vibe and some major works are being done to maintain the intimate feel of the festival. Full details will be published as an exclusive on efestivals ( www.efestivals.co.uk ) on 1st March.
Tickets will go on sale on 31st Jan.
But be quick… in order to keep to our plans we have also cut down on the amount of tickets that will be up for sale, so get in sharpish. This is not a cheap publicity stunt - in order to keep the vibe and festival as everyone has said they want it, the numbers have been reduced.
you can buy your tickets here from 31st jan
In the mean time there will be a series of gigs over the South/Southwest showcasing bands that will be featuring at Endorse it. The first is …

Any idea what time they go on sale Flounder? What I really mean is, is it worth me getting out of bed early or can I get up at dinnertime? That's lunchtime to you Southern folks

What is the new capacity?
Does this mean less entertainment?
Are SLF booked?
Have you booked the King Blues?
How much for campervans / kids ...?
Loads more questions I can't think of!

Cheaper tickets.... more corporate sponsorship rather than less acts, methinks.

..will be provided in the efestivals news when the press release goes out soon.
However I can tell you that SLF are not going to be booked as they were way over budget.
As for King Blues - if they apply then we'll see what we can do - we're already inundated with band requests, but its even more selective this year.
We have got two headliners booked though........

Who to expect...... weeelll
Pronghorn.
This year is a "Best of " year. We will be inviting back bands from the last 5 years who really helped make EiiD the success that it is. There will of course be some new ones and we are talks with some great bands who have yet to play EiiD, but should have done. We've been keeping tabs on who really rocked the publics boat over the years - some true "festival bands" who are well known, some great bands who put on a grand show, but are lesser known. Whoever they are, you can rest assured that they will have had The Endorse it Quality Assured stamp of approval!!!
