Me and a few friends are travelling from London Gatwick to Barcelona on the 12th..

Our flight is scheduled to land at 2pm (spanish time), but the next train to Benicassim is at 3pm. This seems to be cutting it a bit fine..... The problem is the next train isn't until 7.30pm, meaning we would arrive at the festival around 10pm.

Is there any chance of more trains travelling between the two stations to compensate? If not has anybody got any other tips on how to get from Barcelona to Benicassim?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Two things, a) Where did you get your train journey details from?
;) Are any of you 21? Because if you are it works out much cheaper to rent a car from Barcelona for the full 7/8 days.

Hiya  i went to benicassim last year and was in the same situation, flew into barcelona expecting to get a train, heres some advice, be cautious of using the trains, on spanish trains every passenger has to have a ticket and seat and therefore get booked up very quickly, last year we arrived in barcelona and every train and bus was booked there and back for the week of the festival, we ended up having to get a taxi costing 56 euros each to get there, but we fortunately were able to arrange a mini bus(which was booked by someone back home over the internet) to get back to barcelona at the end of the week, which worked brilliantly, i advise using this option rather than trains, organise taxi or minibus transfers on the internet before you fly, a good company to use is SunTransfers, the one we used last year and were using them again this year, trains can still be used but i wouldnt rely on them without booking a ticket prior to arriving in barcelona,

hope this helps

Thanks for your help.
