Like the rest of the major festivals in Europe, not much going on at the moment!

Oasis are tipped to headline RW, usually RW and Roskilde share most of the headliners

I believe they will get smth like Kings of Leon, Placebo and FF, as the majority of the fests...
Plus some good Danish bands :) love scandinavian music.
Last year line-up was quite weak...

I agree! Last year had the great weather but a weak 'one-dip-tea-bag-up-of-tea' line-up!

I don't agree with you, last year was great with some big names (Radiohead / Neil Young / Kings of Leon / Chemical Brothers), some old (Slayer / Judas Priest / My Bloody Valentine), some new (MGMT / Polarkreis 18 / Santogold / Slagsmålsklubben / The Ting Tings) and a handfull of good bands (Band of Horses / Dillinger Escape Plan / The Streets / Solomon Burke / Gnarls Barkley / Duffy).

nah, compared to the years before, and the prices you paid to see similar bands at other festivals (Hurricane for 100€, Rock Am Ring for 135€, that's two 3-day festivals for the price of Roskilde (4days) with, imo, better names than Roskilde), it was a very weak year. Roskilde, Glastonbury, Leeds&Reading and Werchter used to be stronger than Pinkpop, Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Rock am Ring/im Park and Hurricane/Southside to justify a higher price, but last year only Werchter and Reading/Leeds were.

Yet it all depends on our taste,..
I was living in Denmark last year, and just before Roskilde started you could find leeflets everywhere with the propaganda of idea that Roskilde is dieing and it is getting worse n worse. The project had its own webpage, whatever the address was, they are naming the bands who would be great to see, but are not listed on the actual list. These guys have been doing it for a few years now, just to show that Roskilde is losing its best side.

Once again, the majority of such festivals as: Leeds, Glastonbury, Rock m Ring, Hurricane, Pinkpop, Novarock, Pukkelpop etc. share about 45% of the bands.

I felt crapy missing The Raveonettes, Radiohead, Beta Satan and a few more last year. I was ready to go , but my financial status said "sleep home" ;)

Anyway, Roskilde is the most expensive festival so far, as i know...

last year's line-up wasnt really quite good. neil young, radiohead and.... maybe kings of leon
i remember 96 when line-up really kicked ass with chili peppers, r.a.tm, neil young, ministry, bowie, sex pistols, bjork. too many average bands these days

Meh.

Wish they would announce a few more bands than just a couple every week.

There's a big announcement at some stage of about 100 or so acts. Can't remember exactly when, but think it's around April.
