William of Walworth
Illegal camping in Cambridge is piss-easy... not sure if they clamp down for SF tho... there's a few decent spots just outside the city... and a few not so decent inside the city... as long as you pitch up your tent when you get back and don't leave it pitched illegally and unattended you should be OK camped somewhere like lamas land/coldhams common... tho yeah, the further out you go the better the spot you'll find... not gonna give you my spots tho Personally I'd recommend Lamas land tho... a fair distance from the fair (further than Coldhams or Stourbridge) but a bit nicer and you're much less likely to get hassled... Chris12345
Missed it last year but yeah, heard they'd cracked down on it... think you'd be fine on Stourbridge/Coldhams... I'll make a map later...
Credit_Crunk
So what's the news on alcohol around the site? Bringing your own, that is. Is it gonna get cracked down on, or is it gonna be business as usual in Cambridge? Are people going to get searched?

Chris12345
But then, I am a very skinny white bloke, so the punch probably wouldn't hurt much... but still... don't do it!

Chris12345
SUN Just been down to Mitchams Corner and all the Offies are limited to 6 cans/1 big bottle... but it's pretty lax... and there's plenty of them...
hatethisandillloveyou
Was a really good day out Everything seemed to be organised really well, didnt see any trouble (obviously avoided it if there was any) and haven't heard of any major problems, nothing more than you get on a Saturday night out in Cambridge. Weather cleared up nicely by the afternoon, did'nt particually watch any bands, was just a nice chilled out day, sitting with mates, drinking cider with music in the background, kicked off the festival season nicely!! Chris12345
Who were the Reggae band who headlined the East Stage? Think they said they were from London, I was pretty wasted by that point tho 4 guys, 3 black guys with dreads and a white guy playing bass, wearing a balaclava... William of Walworth
It was Rebel Control. Missed them unfortunately, we left straight after the Inner Terrestrials who were on immediately before them (and were excellent), but they sound pretty good from their MySpace (link above) . Well, it was another miraculously lucky Strawberry Fair weatherwise!
