Do I need to arrive early to get into the front circle bit or don't they have that?

Got there a bit late so missed the first two bands. Crystal Castles were ok but didn't suit such a big stage. Foals, however, performed the single most boring live set I have ever experienced.
Good job Blur were so incredible.

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble were great - did well to get the crowd woken up and involved so early on.
Golden Silvers - I think they put everyone back to sleep again!
Crystal Castles - If you like them and were up close they were probably ok but sat back a bit her voice was annoying as hell
Foals - Slightly better than boring for me but sounded like every song was a Bloc Party rip-off!
Blur - Awesome!

Deerhoof - Weird Japanease semi singing lady with crazy rythms
FloMo - err, wow! stunning voice
Amadu and Miriam (sp) - Great sunny fun. 10 mins of them singing 'africa' got me a little delerius though
Vampire Weekend - pish. didnt excite me at all

The strobe lighting effects don't really work on a sunny afternoon Hyde Park...Really liked the festival setup too - particularly the beer garden...
