Any word on support yet?
There's various rumours on the Blur forums including Ray Davies, a full Kinks reunion (surely not supporting somebody else?), Super Furry Animals, Manic Street Preachers and Kaiser Chiefs (please no!!!).
02 Wireless festival is running on the Saturday and Sunday immediately after the two Blur gigs.

I'd heard the Kaiser Chiefs chat too.
Don't see the Kinks getting back together to support Blur.
P.S. Have you ever heard Damon's cover of Waterloo Sunset? Lets just say it exposes his vocal limitations.

little disappointed with the calibre of the supports to be honest

Wow, the Friday support is awesome. Never knew Albarn was a Deerhoof fan! Shame I don't like Blur themselves.

I had a ticket for the Thursday but sold it after I found out they were gonna be at T. Plus, I couldn't be able to afford 2 trips to London in 2 weeks (going to see Michael Jackson the week after)
The Friday line-up does look better though, purely for Vampire Weekend

Does anyone reckon they'll be an area infront of the stage for VIPs, like many concerts in Hyde Park?

Yeah I'd like to know this as well? I went to Live 8 in Hyde Park and was pretty dissapointed about the whole thing. We were so far back that there wasn't really much atmosphere. When you tried to get closer there was a bloody fence in the way! Then Mariah Carey turned up...

Unsure why FF have pulled out to be honest, on their own website it is still listed in their tour guide section, but it is not included on their MySpace page.
I did read something about food and drink on a site somewhere, but can’t access it at work as that particular forum is blocked. Can’t take any glass bottles or cans in and think plastic bottles have to be securely fitted – so no broken seals. But some people must know some good tricks of sneaking alcohol in???
Presume that you can take food in, but they will be a number of food outlets within the arena selling over-priced cold burgers etc.
I’m planning on eating before I go in and then should be good to go. A diet of alcohol in the afternoon sounds a plan.

it really sucks about FF - there's nothing on their website or blur's which says otherwise, just on live nation where the times are listed (as per above)
hey and at least you saw them at glasto! i didn't go this year, after going to at least the last 3 in a row, looked great on the TV.
its also on the live nation website in the FAQ's about food and drink - it says no alcohol, but soft drinks are ok in plastic bottles of 500ml or less - it doesn't mention unbroken seals, but may well enforce that cos of the alcohol rule.
food - it says you can bring a 'reasonable amount for personal consumption', but no hampers or cool boxes.
