I'm after a tent for myself. I'm going alone, but I've heard that one man tents usually aren't big enough? I'm 6 foot, if that makes any difference.

I have literally no idea what I'm looking for, so if anyone could chuck some recommendations at me, it'd be muchly appreciated.

u need a 2man tent size per person... and defo with a porch!!! its a godsend!

i hate those 'pop up ones as they sway with the slightest touch of wind and are ridiculously small. u could just about fit an everyday rucksack in there!

u need to have space in your tent when camping.

I'd had conversations with Vango last year, and hoped that they would introduce something to deal with sun, heat, and daytime sleeping. :D

Just browsed through their 2009 range, nothing seems to have materialised. They have introduced a range of Teepee tents though, up to 8-man! :)

A tent with two doors is great to keep the temperature down. I did try the foil wrapping technique last year, but it's a lot of hassle, and the rustling is quite loud.

Yes, I'm hopeful for a scorcher this year! :O
