Well then we have no right in having a pop at the recent 3 movies surely? Or any piece of film, music ever??!!

Its one thing releasing new films but pricking about with the old ones after 25 years is a bit much.

P.S. Hanging him by the bollox is a bit extreme granted!

:D

Its not what I am saying...

Its fine to hold a opinion about a piece of work... film, music art...etc...

Its quite another to feel you have some sort of ownership over it like you seem to present...

If I created something and someone changed it....that would be a disgrace...

Someone changing there own work cant ever be describe as a disgrace etc...  The end result might not have been to your tastes but thats different...

True, but I still disagree with him changing it.

Kind of like I disagree with McCartney wanting to change the songwriting credit on Beatles tunes to McCartney-Lennon on the tunes Macca wrote.

But we’ll leave the “Macca has turned into a total arse” conversation for another day!

don't even mention the star wars figures, there's a good chance i spent more on those as a kid than i have done on all the naughty stuff when you're an adult, and now it resides in the chest next to me collecting dust lol. Ipods are cheap as chips compared to those bloody things lol.

I only think Samuel L Jackson and Jar Binks(I refuse to acknowledge the ridiculous repition) are the worst things about the six films.

Empire FTW.

He did.  As Jules Winnfield.

I'm still a bit bitter about the farce that was the Clone Wars animation that I watched the other week.  Not that I should have expected anything else.

I'm hoping that Lucas is going to put the whole business to bed now.  No more cartoons and no episodes VII - IX.

I hadn't realised Jar Jar Binks was black.  Do you get black gungans?  Or white ones for that matter?

I thought the Jinglish of the Trade Federation was fairly offensive.   Did they tone down their accents for their subsequent appearanes?

Im a huge star wars fan but I havent touched the cartoons with a barge pole.  Seems like pure profiteering over substance.

Would love to see VII - IX though....

You do well to avoid the cartoons.   I've only seen the one that they released at the flix last summer.   It was horrid.

The problem with VII - IX is with the casting.  Would they cast the old cast?   Because that would simply descend into cheese, in my opinion.   I just don't think it's feesible.

Mind you, the early Star Trek film that is coming out looks quite good from the trailers.  So never say never, I guess.

You would realistically have to recast the lot.  I think the audience would accept it considering we have already viewed different people in these roles recently.

I would like to see Robert Carlyle as a Jedi.  Would be so odd it would be great me thinks   or maybe as bad guy

They'd need to come up with a completely new story too.  The couple of books I read back when I was a bit of a Star Wars nerd that were meant to come after Return of the Jedi were dire.   Leia having twins is probably a gimme mind.

If they were to make more films, they should make a proper version of Knights Of The Old Republic.

Because it's totally f**king awesome.

And they could cast Megan Fox as Bastila.  Drool.

I agree with the Wolf on this.  I'd say leave the Skywalker story alone, and go do something else less boring instead.
