We have a few threads dedicated to some shows like Heros, Dexter and the Wire but there is a lot out there. If you watching something good and think others might like it why not let everyone know about it.

At the moment I am watching Sons of Anarchy http://www.fxnetwork...a/#Nav/Homepage Good show about a group of bikers with Ron Pearlman in a small town called Charming, there are gangs, drugs, guns and some good music. Highly recommended viewing.

Life is a show about a cop who went put in prison for a crime he didn't commit and found hmmm Zen I guess http://www.nbc.com/Life/about/ he is now out and back on the force with a amount hefty of compensation  entertaining show

Burn Notice http://www.usanetwor...ies/burnnotice/ it is slick and funny about a CIA agent who has been burned (which means he is out of the cia) and is trying to fine who burned him whilst helping people. Entertaining and fun

How I met your Mother http://www.cbs.com/p...et_your_mother/ Barney is one of the brilliant, a great show

Criminal Minds, without a trace and Bones are all well made crime shows.

If you have any tv shows that you think people may like but have missed or are only available on download then it would be nice to let then know maybe with a bit of info just a thought

We are watching Dexter (up to S3E7 I think), and may be starting Damages tonight, heard good things about it.

Breaking Bad gets a mention, but there is a thread about that which I started. My mate mentioned Burn Notice to me, I might well grab that.

The wife is still mad on Prison Break.

Special mention also goes to Jack Bauer who returns tomorrow night for the movie "24 - Redemption" which I understand is set in Africa, with Robert Carlyle in it, its a 2 hour special that is supposed to be a bridge between last season and next - which starts in Jan IIRC.

All of that could be bullshit, but its stuff I have picked up whilst trying to avoid any spoilers. I love Jack Bauer (in a manly way)

I am also just in the process of downloading the criterion DVD rip of Brideshead Revisited, a work I was far too young to appreciate when it was broadcast in 1981, but a drama I have heard consistently called "one of the finest pieces of TV drama ever made". It was filmed at castle howard, a place the wife is rather fond of, so I reckon she will be quite easy to convince its worth a watch.

Oh, and I also downloaded the entire 2 series of Twin Peaks last week. Worthy of a second viewing if the broadcast TV is shite this winter.

Very very little, I download and watch Stargate Atlantis and Sarah Connor Chronicles every week, other than that there is nothing on TV that makes me want to make an appointment. Even Question Time has become dull, a reflection of British politics.

Just a quick "heads up" for anyone who hasn't seen damages.

the first season is 12 parts. we watched the pilot on sunday evening, closely followed by 2 further eps that night, and have made our way up to ep 10 already. absolutely first class acting from Glenn Close and Ted Danson, as well as the supporting cast.

Its a legal drama, set around "high stakes litigation" in NYC. and the timeline is well messed up, and your understanding of what is really going on is challenged every episode.

as I said, we have 2 left, and I hope they live up to expectations. But so far - I really cant recommend it enough.

I don't watch tv, I don't have it.

I have a nice man who brings me Heroes dvd's every now and then though....no Nightcrawler13, not you, you are rubbish, you gave me half a season and then never came through with the rest of the goods. AND he puts proper stickers on the front too. That's proper Piracy for ya!  ;)
