The Levellers' Simon Friend plays a solo gig on Saturday 25th October at Bentley's Wine Bar, 444 Edenfield Road, Rochdale, OL12 7PD (Tel.: 01706 713713). Entry is free but the landlady will be holding a raffle on the night to help with her expenses. Early arrival is advised if you want a good vantage point! Any further info, PM me. Cheers.

We'll be in Hebden
from tomorrow to Sunday, and the journey to Rochdale is direct, taking only 23 minutes. Tempting!
But I'm not sure how practical heading for this gig would be in reality for us, given that we'll have been at this beer festivalall day on Saturday
, and given that the last train back to Hebden leaves Rochdale at 23:09
... a tad early ...

10ish for 45 minutes
11.15ish for 45 minutes
Mr & Mrs Flip are thinking of attending and returning to Hebden in a taxi. And as far as I know the venue has real ale...
Will be great to see you Will!

Shame, never worked out, we detained them at the Beer Festival and then the dreadful weather kicked in ....!
Hope the gig went well though.
