Nice one! I wish they'd get a move on with the announcements!
Last year they started giving us names at the end of October and the steady steam continued from then. Whats going on?

Hi mate,

Looks like our paths won't cross this year, no Wickerman or Lowlands for me this year. You will have a blast though :o

Look Paul, I know you keep saying you're not going but I have real doubts that you can stay at home while Gillian and Caitln are living it up in a field. Just give in to it and come along :) :o

Get a Saturday ticket, just come down on Saturday morning first thing, then home on Sunday. You know you want to.  B)

Thought about it at one point, but too much hassle getting there etc and tbh it's not worth what it would cost

I would definitely recommend this festival to anyone.  Unfortunately Kim and myself will not be in attendance this summer.  We are unlikely to be going to any festivals this year due to the pending birth of our first kiddie

A real shame we can't make it as it was the best festival we attended in a long time.  Have fun everyone :P

Congrats mate, all the best to you both.

Guess I will see you in 2010 then unless I make a trip over to Ireland sometime before then :)

Glastonbury 2010 will most definitely mark the return to my festival going.  I may even be planning to camp with the Efests camp in Pennards, although our usual spot at Woodsies is always handy to the coach entrance.  There is plenty of space and it is quite chilled over there.  However it is a hell of a walk to everywhere from there.

The baby is due on 10th June.  Might even make it's festival debut at Wickerman next year although I imagine we will be in family camping if that is the case.

I will keep you all posted on the progress

Information from Rich posted on Skiddle Forum earlier today.

Bass Camp

I thought I would announce something, as it has now semi appeared on the website.

This year the dance setup at The Wickerman is changing. In previous years there was Eden, then we (Skiddle) came along and added our setup to provide something a bit different.

This year, following lengthly discussions, Eden is gone, apart from the Bhuta tent (Breaks) where Annie Nightingale and The Plump DJ's have played in the past.

Skiddle and Bhuta have now joined forces to create a themed area to be known as 'Bass Camp'

This will feature 2 big tops, one the Skiddle tent and one the breaks tent, and we will also be seeing an introduction of an outdoor 'stage' which will be playing soul infused disco funk during the day.

There is also the alleged return of the tent that never quite made it up last year (the skiddle dome), as well as a chill out tent.

The whole dance village will be military themed, hence the title 'bass camp' so please do feel to dress up and come and join the fun. Once again we will be putting a lot of effort into the production, and then some, and im very very excited to say that both dance tents will have full Funktion1 stacks which means we can have a lot cleaner quality signal without disturbing the campsites.

I think it needed a re-think, was too many dance tents IMO and this set up sounds far better

Indeed! This might possiblly mean that there will be room for the Scooter tent back on level ground! It was weird standing on a slope that faced UP hill to the stage!

Maybe they should call it "Camp David"?

Thats what everyone calls a guy a I work with.

I'm sure he'd like the military theme!!

Corrected that for you mate

They have promised an announcement  "in the near future". What the hell does that mean??? :o Get a move on!! I have no idea what they think they have to gain from holding back. The sooner they announce, the sooner folk will buy. If they hold out too long the money for the summers festivities will be spent on another festie!
