Blissfields Festival 3rd - 5th July 2009

There are going to be numerous exciting improvements made since our last event on the farm and work is already under way planning new areas that will greatly enhance the small, family friendly feeling that helped us to win UK Best Small Festival in 2007. We will be supporting the local music scene as always with many exciting acts and bands from the area. We have also learnt so much about production and organisation which we are now able to bring back home, it truly will be a brilliant event for next summer.

As in previous years capacity will be low and exclusive, and our desire has been to keep the ticket costs as low as possible. We will also be providing a strongly independent and non-corporate weekend for you to relax at. Blissfields Festival raises funds and awareness for the charity Practical Action

Some details for Blissfields 2009:

Full weekend ticket £41.00 plus booking fee - Limited numbers of pre-release sale tickets @ £35 + booking fee on sale from 1st Dec 2008.

Capacity: 1,250

Organised entertainment will be from 4pm Friday 3rd July until 1.30am Sunday 5th July . Campsite is open from 4pm Thursday 2nd July until 6pm Sunday 5th July.

Stages:

Stage 1 - Main open air stage

Stage 2 - Big Top mixed entertainment

Tractor Disco Stage (DJs) – An open air carnival on a tractor trailer for all day frivolity)

Hidden Area – A secluded hideaway in the woods!

Campfire - Acoustic DIY

Other entertainment:

Thursday Night extended camping.

Music and art workshops for adults and kids plus other assorted fun.

Our riotous open mic session after the main stage closes on the Friday night.

Tractor Rides, always a favourite!

Pub price drinks and quality real ales and cider.

Quality food and craft and festival stalls.

We will support awareness and fund raising for or chosen charity Practical Action. We have a green ethos, incorporating recycling, and awareness of environmental issues during the weekend and on our website.

oh god I just have to be there! Try and get The Whip to headline like you had planned for this year. If not then get Crystal Castles. They're relatively known and those who dont are usually impressed with their insane live show. Sorry if band speculation is the last thing you want, but punter reaction can't always be a bad thing. Oooh and try and get Comet Gain. Oh and The Cribs. If you let them know that you're an up and coming festival who need a band to headline they'd more than likely do it for peanuts, they're nice like that

Oh, we also want The Beatles, Radiohead and Jesus.
