I notice its all about carbon offsetting, yet you do not ask one very important qeustion in regards to this issue.

How did you travel to the festival.

I travel by public transport, in the case of Beautiful Days, train and bus (mainly train). Glastonbury is the same (though only local train to coach station).

Something like this should be in there:

How did you travel to the festival?
Select the one that applies to the largest distance of your journey.

Car, alone or with one other?
Car, Shared with 2 or more people?
Public Transport, Bus/coach?
Public Transport, Train?
Public Transport, Fly
Other (please state)

The other would be used to cover those that cycled/motorcycled or hired a mini-bus between a group!

Very valid point because if travelling far but using public transport, then fair play & minimum carbon footprint.

I've already filled in this questionnaire but on another Festival thread. I suppose it good to do one for each festival attended.

Although I'm not gonna own up to using a really old gas guzzling american old banger. 4Litre Oldsmobile style.
Does 3 miles to the gallon, kicking out fumes all the way. and only 2 of us in the huge motor!

50 pound of bell tent,
Inflatable bed
canoe

etc,

soon fills up that old oldsmobile!
