due to carling not sponsering the event anymore; no it wont be. Somebody off here did write to calsberg but there was no word of the cold beer amnesty.
and the cup thing.. hmm i i dont know,,iw would be good though, not because im a cup monkey.. but they said it got 95% of the cups recycled; which is canny.

The cup thing will be back - Tuborg was 20p at Download one year but I think it'll stick to 10p.

Its a good idea but it did my head in last year, random cup monkeys walking past and checking your drinks to see how much you had left, people nicking other peoples drinks when they put them down, I even saw people raiding the big bins they had in the arena just for cups !!

I heard off of an official source that they will be placing secial gold cups on the ground around the festival site, which will be worth £50 if you return them! Def True!
tbh I'd start looking first thing, don't bother with any bands until you've found 3

i'm all for being in the festival vibe, but if some sad prick thinks he's going to nick my half pint whilst i'm chilling and enjoying a band (all for the sake of 10p), they can quite frankly get f**ked, haven't got the patience to be polite to muppets.

i cannot stand the cup monkeys
why spend your time at a festival collecting peoples dirty cups for the sake of making what £20? £50?
big deal, you've spent £160+ being there so enjoy yourself!

If I can save 40-50p on the way to the bar by picking up a few cups off the ground I aint going to care too much what people call me. Helps with recycling, don't see how it is a massive inconvinience to anyone to be honest.

yes but that's a bit of a far cry from being a cup monkey, they seems to care more about the cups than the bands lol, felt like getting my lighter out to spite them but it would've sent the wrong messages, and i'll be damned if the cup monkeys are getting praised.

A cup monkey being someone who goes around collecting £50 worth of cups? Sure if they take your empty cup from your hand that wouyld be annoying but picking up ones people have carelessly chucked on the floor because they couldn't be bothered to find a bin? Its them who spent the £160 let them spend that time making money if they want to

im unsure if crushing is the best ploy.
i think tearing in to little squares and giving them a 10p cup shower as the scavenge about like rats should do the trick.

Also do you think we could start a bogus rumour that you also get money for picking up disgarded plates of noodles?!
There's always shit loads of them lying on the floor, usually in spaces where you want to sit down!

Hang on, didn't we finally decide that they weren't a political band because they had never arranged a sit in or similar??
