  1. Hoping for a bit more of a line-up & then going to buy day tickets for the best looking day I think rather than the weekend - and that's just because the 5 year old asks daily when we're going back! So disappointed so far!
  2. I think if we decide to go next year I'll hold out to see if they do the same Barclaycard discount later in the year... Had a good time this year, however the family camping toilet situation on the Thursday was ridiculous - only urinals available in the family camping area for a large part of the day & evening & the poor stewards could only suggest walking all the way back to the arena if we needed to use the ladies toilets or the kids needed to go... they don't normally provide that much notice at 4 years old! And often over the weekend the water pressure was so bad there was no running water at least at our nearest toilets in the family CV field for the same reason in the mornings when everyone was using the toilets & wanting to brush their teeth etc... One thing I really think they could do with is introducing charity lock ups like they do at Glastonbury - it's such a long walk back to the tent for changes of clothes in bad weather for example or you have to lug a load of stuff around with you all day. Young Fathers were SO GOOD! Those plus Pulp & Confidence Man were probably my music highlights, plus Laura Smyth in the comedy arena. But the chairs set up for the day (mostly empty) in there under the tent were ridiculous!
  3. Thank you - that's reassuring!
  4. Still not packed... due to leave at about 7.30 tomorrow morning. I'm curious to know how busy it is on site already & if there was much uptake to getting in early! If we aim for around a 10am arrival tomorrow morning, are we likely to need to queue for long to get parked? Have a v. tetchy 4 year old with us so mentally preparing myself 🤣 Let's hope these rainy weather forecasts do one!
  5. I think Friday & Saturday is looking a bit better than a few days ago so I'm hoping the rest of the weekend goes the same way as it gets closer! Just want to get the tent up in the dry really - anything else we can cope with!
  6. Just seen this announced - campsites opening on the Wednesday instead of the Thursday to try & spread out the increased traffic they're anticipating due to the train strikes: Latitude Festival | News | Important: Train strikes planned for Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd July
  7. Came on to find some info re family camping, so thank you - very helpful!
  8. Following as we're taking our four year old for the first time this year! Booked family camping but I was wondering how far a trek it is with stuff from the family camping car parks... we're used to Glastonbury-level treks with our stuff up to now but I'm hoping it won't be quite as extreme at Latitude with a little one & all her gear added to the mix...
  9. Bought ours today on the Barclaycard presale - we've been before on day tickets or weekend tickets with no camping but taking our 4 year old this year in family camping. Really looking forward to seeing Pulp again & the comedy line up being announced.
  10. It's my daughter's last summer before starting school - we were planning on going next year but I also think £1k + for a weekend when we want to make the most of 2023 for showing her a bit of the world before we're tied to school holidays could be better spent... I think we'll do a more affordable festival instead & spend the difference on a weekend away outside of the UK.
  11. Yeah we hit the campervan queue at about 3pm on the Tuesday, and didn't move an inch until 9am on the Wednesday morning, 3 miles from site. Fucking nightmare.
  12. Yes I've had that on in the background while working!
  13. Anyone else impatiently waiting for BBC coverage to start?!
  14. Yeah that's another alternative - although she's growing out of the bike trailer already! 🙂 Wicket could work... I need to get re-associated with all things Glastonbury! If my husband turns up at Wicket with our stuff but without his family, would he get in I wonder, if we then headed in a bit later once the queues had died down?! I think queuing with her for hours on end would set the weekend off on a bad footing tbh 🤣
  15. I'm going to watch on TV & spend the time planning the logistics of a potential return in 2023. Had tickets for 2016, epically failed to get there due to the awful weather & 28 hours attempting to get near the site from the Tuesday into the CV fields & my poor health meant we could wait no longer in the car to figure out how long the piece of string was until we would actually arrive... married in 2017, had our baby in 2018, and probably would have returned with her sooner if not for the pandemic... Next year we'd like to bring her but trying to figure out how WV/Sticklinch or hiring a van would work out - she's a bit too 'spirited' to endure hours in the queue & a long walk with all our stuff only to find family camping full! 😄

I'm planning to do the same from home this year - had a few years off having a baby & then pandemic hit - so going to introduce the three year old to the festival this weekend via the BBC & then try for tickets in October to take her next year.
  17. I think that was Weston Park in Staffordshire - confused me too at first!
  18. Saw the lineup announced today, was debating taking the family this year & then looked at the ticket price... 😳
