  1. Haven't missed one since 2004 but that is easiest the worst line up I've seen. I know one man's meat etc but that is poor. Got Melvyn's hands all over it and even the headliners are standard Reading/Leeds fare. If it rains it could go down as a bad one, and if as I hear they are letting in as many as last time, it might not be a lot of fun. Already know several regs not going again because of the overcrowding last time. Still time will tell.
  2. Thanks again guys. See you in the fields!
  3. Thanks guys will buy today.
  4. Would be my first, and with partner and two kids under 7. Glasto reg. But put off by the turdises stories from last year. Get me over the ticket buying line please.
  5. Latest locally from people working on site is that there were some very good blag tickets this year. Also know for a fact that traders etc getting more in than allocated, but this happens everywhere year so prob not relevant.
  6. I'm ultra local to the fest, and have been told this morning thousands of 15,16 year olds getting in as under 13. Expect that to be tightened up next time.
  7. Vast majority will have forgotten by October, then will be all over social media moaning how they never get tickets.
  8. Festival management has seen some changes this year. This is a fact. This obviously has had an effect. Crowd numbers started increasing again around 2009 if I recall correctly. These threads became common again around then. Pinch points have always been potentially dangerous: need to be policed better. Thursday night acts need spreading over site. This solves one issue. Arcadia needs it's own field which is a destination in its own right. More deliberate clashes on opposite sides of festival are needed. I just have a feeling more kids were on site this year than normal (not moaning - mine were too). Think the three years delay has meant that three years worth of kids are now old enough for their parents to bring them, so we see more buggies etc, taking space. Some good "time out" venues i.e the organic wine bar have disappeared, so it's harder to find a bit of peace when in the middle of it, and this probably colours peoples' perception. People should write the festival/mendip Council if have real concerns. I'm sure those running things try their best, and it's impossible to please all the peeps all the time. Like clockwork come ticket day, somebody will post a thread suggesting capacity needs increasing as they've missed out on a brief....
