  1. I think it's very disappointing he's accepted the award. The whole awards system is an absolute joke anyway.
  2. The toilets were an absolute disgrace and anyone saying otherwise is kidding themselves. Dangerous and filthy with no consideration for women or those less able. They looked like they'd been built on the cheap with failing locks and seats. The organisers should be ashamed of themselves for going for this so called "Green" option. I appreciate that times are hard, but cutting corners on something as fundamental as toilets won't do. Added to that a less than stella line up means I won't be early birding and will have to seriously think about ever going again.
  3. Agreed to a point but hasn't the festival ha exclusive bookings before?Joanna Newsom in 2011 springs to mind.
  4. As have some of the headliners booked. I don't see that as a reason not to book them again.
  5. Great Festival, absolutely love it, really poor line up. I get the impression that either the organisers know they will sell out and don't think they have to bother anymore or they can't attract bigger acts. I will still enjoy the festival but I would love just one must see act. Big Thief, The Walkmen, Mogwai, Bill Callahan or The Unthanks aren't too much to ask for, particularly for a £200+ ticket.
  6. Bill Callahan Big Thief The Unthanks Gillian Welch (I can dream!) Midlake Mogwai
  7. I was there that year and left on the Sunday morning as it was so grim. It was OK then but hadn't had a full day of rain. My family are bringing a campervan this year. Hopefully they will be OK getting out too. I only ask as I experienced the horror of Glastonbury 2007. Getting out the car park was an absolute nightmare.
  8. It'll be what it'll be. My only real concern is getting off site again, hopefully on Monday. Anyone else had big problems before when there's been very heavy rain?
  9. Will the same people complaining about it being too hot be complaining when it's pissing it down over the next few days? You are at Glastonbury!!! Think yourself lucky. There are thousands who wish they were there. I do. Haven't been since 2011 having only missed 3 others from 1994 onwards. Just enjoy the moment!!!
  10. You are in wind up mode aren't you? 😂 Don't see high winds in the BBC forecast. What's your source?
  11. First post in ages. When I used to go to Glastonbury, I wasted hours and hours on the weather thread. It was an absolute roller coaster of emotions 😂. The weather will be what it will be and I think only Sunday and Monday are looking dodgy. It won't be biblical Glasto mud though. I experienced Glasto 97, 98, 2007(definitely the worst) and 2011 which was grim, particularly queuing in torrential rain for 5 hours to get in. I haven't been back since. The Nal is hopefully being over pessimistic 😂😂😂 Pack wellies and waterproofs, just to be on the safe side.
