  1. Yes, the sound at Lonely Hearts was about as good as I heard all weekend. Bohmer in particlaulr and Cooper. It helps their tracks are so well produced/ mixed/ mastered and the combination of the sound system was about as good as it gets. That and the sunset...
  2. Did I read somewhere that 'Fabric' are taking over a stage in Silver Hayes one of the days? If so I wonder if this is where the likes of Sasha/ Craig Richards/ Digweed etc may end up..? Also there is the talk of Levels getting bigger this year.
  3. Any more info about this? Makes total sense.
  4. I'm actually looking forward to Silver Hayes line up. Not really thought that for about 10 years but last year was such a step up. And with virtually no Prog house/ deep house/ Anjunadeep/ Trance it's a last hope for some other genres of dance music. I won't hold my breath though.
  5. I don't think I'll look back at 2024 and think, 'I wish I'd watched Camelphat and some more jump up drumnbass.' 😄
  6. Looking at the 2019 line up of the 3/4 stages in the Glade area has depressed me. So much variety. Main - https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2019/#glade Lounge - 2019 | Glastonbury Festival (glastonburyfestivals.co.uk) Spaceport - https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2019/#spaceport That said I do love the new layout now. Without doubt less is more with the 2 decent venues with amazing sound. However, line up wise, I don't think anyone can argue that this year's line up is better than that.
  7. There's been at least 2 stages for ages. In fact there used to be 3/4 stages with line ups in the past. The dome is under the trees where the main stage was few years ago. The main Glade stage is now massive and near where the the Glade Lounge and the Spaceport used to be. other side of the track (Spike bar side)
  8. I'd suggest that we leave polite, articulate thoughts on their social media. I'm sure they read and take these thoughts on board.
  9. Completely agree. Glade was the last place they had any Prog/ Trance type acts. Which is what those trees/ areas are ideal for. I prob wouldn't go watch a psy trance act (other stuff yes) but this is the home of it all. The whole vibe in that area is basically a trance festival. WTF? It used to be stacked with your usual Prog masters (Sasha, Digweed) and then some lesser known trance stuff. I honestly don't know what the f**k is going on. There now is nowhere playing anything vaguely Prog/ trance/ Anjunabeats/ Anjuna Deep type acts. It's completely bizarre considering the scale of that industry and also considering Glastonbury is by far the most trancey/ prog/ hippy of vibes out of the main festivals.
  10. This. Not one! Also is there any prog/ trance at all? Considering they used to have most of Saturday evenings with Prog/ Global Underground type acts. Nick Warren, Quivver, Dave Seamen, Sasha etc. I don't think it's a case of changing with times as most of the names this year are standard Glade acts. Last year they had Dave Seamen, Kolsch, Yousef and loads of trance on the Sunday. But this is a huge shame for me. That said it's still full of massive potential moments and still a favourite area but what a massive shame. Now even the Glade seems to moving away from the Prog House/ Deep House/ Trance/ Anjuna Deep genres. It's really bizarre as it's a massive industry. I wonder if they will be somewhere different. Sasha and/ or Digweed usually play every 2 years. Maybe they have been asked by Levels (possible) or Iicon (not likely).
  11. Yes. Not a crowd thing, but def a re-think for the reasons you say.
  12. Etonians you mean😘
  13. here's the other 3 stages. 6 in total:
  14. A lot more stages listed here: https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/areas/shangri-la/
  15. The early years of glade were seminal for me. I remember Paul Oakenfold, Hybrid etc. In their prime, with the sunlight coming though the trees, very simple but effective canopies/ drapes between trees. A set by Hybrid in particular at sunset was just utter bliss. Very friendly atmosphere. TBH it still is like that now. I think the recent changes to the Glade have had a nod back to the original days, moving the big names out to the new stage and keeping some of the original magic with smaller acts under the trees.
  16. this site had some but now not there: https://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/glastonbury/2000/review-glade1.shtml

  18. The G stage was originally the stage in the first Glade area. I.e. Glade stage. It was in a different place (with it's back to the other stage), similar to where the bar is now. Then it moved to dance village when the glade area changed.
  19. Silver Hayes: “our 2024 programme reveal is getting closer and closer..” Tomorrow?

Same. I really wanted to like it but...just found it rather dull. Although it's more the backing track/ karaoke style performance that does my head in. I don't mind the dancing so much as long as there is a great live band. Madonna Blonde Ambition tour springs to mind - brilliant live band and live/ extended versions of the hits as well as dancing. But yep I'll be elsewhere. Happy for anyone who's a fan and perhaps I'l watch the footage back and be won over.
  21. Ltj Bukem and Conrad reunited would be epic
  22. Barry can’t swim in Rolling Stone magazine. Big feature. Don’t get me wrong I think he’s good. But is this guy really the future? I can’t really set him apart from loads of other stuff out there. I must be an oddity but I listen to him and Fred again and I don’t hear anything new/ that exciting. It just floats over me. I’m 45 though and listened to dance music for 20 years so maybe that’s the issue.
  23. Making more use of the SE corner more during the day seems a no brainer for spreading crowds. Yes Icon is a massive venue and should be utilised.
  24. If you’re wondering what will be on the acoustic I’d look at the last 2/ 3 years and most will be there. They can be rather loyal to a fair few acts.
