Truth Stage is of course the Hell Stage and has probably been called a few other names over the years. Probably just new branding in line with whatever the theme is this year.

Huge GSH for Boaby the Barman

I'm racking my brains to try and figure out why this makes him an idiot!
It doesn't. He secured the coveted tickets and got more lucky than most.

Air can't be charging that much. They're one album wonder Gen X shagging music, not Bruce f**king Springsteen.

Cowboy Carter is the sh*t

At the festival that's booked Johnny Cash, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson etc?

It all goes back to definition of legend.
To me legend would mean someone/ band who have had a long and influential but not necessarily hugely successful in sales terms career.
To others it means an hour of songs they know but wouldnt necessarily want to pay to see.
Maybe its time to just let it die a,natural death rather than keep extending the meaning to make something fit as theyre avaialble.
Shania twain could still be playing but does it really need to be labelled legend.
The definition of "legend" has nothing to do with it. The name comes from places like this - it was called the Teatime Slot by the festival until 3 or 4 years back.

Not many acts more suitable tbh.

Yep.
Despite the best efforts of the Mel's to manifest it, my best guess is that they've only succeeded in annoying the festival and making it less likely.
Emily is usually very diplomatic when she's asked about acts - for her to outright dismiss one like that presumably means that we can take her statement as a flat "no". At least for the foreseeable.
Given there's not exactly an inexhaustible supply of legend slot contenders there's zero chance of Emily turning them down if and when they do get sufficiently organised to make it happen.

Air weren't booked in case they did a moon safari on the bloke from Keane's face.
-
Of all the weedy post-Coldplay albums made in 2004 by men with enormous faces, Keane probably are the best - at least, after Elbow.

Yoo listen to King Krule's new album and tell me again that man doesn't have any edge.
I don't give a fiddlers about edginess. It's not a real criterion.

Based on the reviews I've read they do seem to have dropped a clanger by not landing the Moon Safari show.

I'd say all of the rap bookings have plenty of edge. Defo compared to those booked last year.
I don't know much about them other than that they are genuinely very popular - but aren't D Block Europe a bit entry level?

Declan Mackenna. King Krule. Keane on the Pyramid....

Keep looking at the poster having forgotten that Two Door Cinema Club have prominent billing and it hits me anew.

@Mardy cheers squire. I'll check it out.

Fat White Family genuinely are wrong 'uns though, right?

I too am fuming about the lack of edgy bands Air and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Not accusing her of lying, but I am surprised. Coupled with the 'in the bones' vibe that a wet one's a-coming.
SZA's a bigger draw than everyone thought...
