Its Ocean Colour Scene and its acoustic
-
Actually, re-reading the review it's some petty bullshit
-
Yeah - I don't think it was as bad as that review makes out, but it wasn't a dab up.
The middle section when her mike started working was great. Billana sounded fantastic.

My entire team are super-hyped for Justice again and fair play, but I'm definitely seeing the attraction of SZA. Don't want to end the weekend on a solo mission but equally SZA is a bit of a special talent, and it could well end up being a You Should Have Been There sort of show.

Justice were good but as an attendee of the 2017 set it was hella similar.

Replay of Brittany Howard now on the Mojave Stage
-
D@b down the Coachella sound engineers
-
Aye - sounds great but not sure if the Staging is sufficiently different from the last outing.
Switched to Lana now.
-
It is the full band I think - but agree that terming things an acoustic set is generally meaningless. Few acts break out the double bass.

Justice just started at Coachella

I cannot believe that in the year of our Lord 2024 that the best Saturday night option at Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts this year is Ocean Colour Scene. Jesus f**king Christ!
Jessie Ware and her enormous disco bangers is still a cut above Fanny Craddock and the lads bringing out the acoustics.

Any ideas what time the Lana set will be streaming tomorrow morning?
-
To be fair we had the info that Shania was doing it back in November.
-
And whilst on-site the Gipsy Kings should open up the Pyramid that day

I will say fair fecks to the Acoustic lads for managing 10 acts a day. Other Stages could take note and faff around less.

Semi-detached Suburban Mr James or we riot.

Watched the Manfreds on Jools Hootenanny and they actually looked quite fun. Pretty Flamingo a goated tune

Hahaha that's such a funny way to get caught out.
I've literally never heard of any of those acts, anyone got any recs to check out?
Here's a copy of the playlist

TBH her setlist will be so stacked that it'll still level the place - as long as she doesn't go OTT with the new tracks at the expense of her belters.

Look at his smug wee face

It's better than training season
Houdini is the pick of three - the others are both pretty mid. Not bad exactly, but not what the doctor ordered when Friday 28th June comes to mind.
If anyone sees this dweeb wandering G24 it's on sight.

Given Illusion might be time to call the paramedics on DL3. Kevin Parker d@bs down yet again.

I think there has been a massive shift that older/novelty (I know someone is going to disagree with this categorisation) have become far more popular over the years probably with a slight shift in the demographic of people going as so many people want the one off Glastonbury experience, so I do think it will be rammed, I thankfully will be nowhere near
2015 - which seems to be when Lulu last surfaced - had various other older heritage acts drawing reasonable crowds on the bigger stages - Lionel, Burt Bacharach, Patti Smith, Mavis Staples etc so I'd not really agree that there's been a shift.
That said, if you were to posit that 2024 is looking so threadbare that Lulu will actually become a big attraction because there's f**k all else on then I'd probably agree.
Lana Del Rey ( confirmed ) :)

That review's still baffling, mind - talking about how Lana peaked in the mid 2010s and that she's an "icon for the dour and terminally online"
