Nova Twins for El Pointo 2023 imho

Hazza Styles: Mercury Nominee
-
She's never had a hit single - either in the states or over here. Lizzo is far more in the ballpark.
-
That and the fact she isn't really on any sort of accelerating trajectory to the toppermost of the poppermost.
-
There weren't any big git singles off it but it was a real critical success. Glasgow gig was a long way from sold out tbf.

Dunno how much of this is genuine chaos vs a journo not really used to dealing with queues and mud. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/jul/25/splendour-in-the-grass-2022-bus-chaos-noxious-mud-and-public-urination-at-an-unbelievably-awful-time

Its obviously shocking - but in terms of strategy there's clearly a sweet spot to buy tickets (either very early or much later on after demand goes down and prices start to become realistic again). If noone buys the shitty seats at £600 there'll be loads going begging at face value in the run up to the gig.

What have you done today to get ready for Glastonbury 2023?
CaledonianGonzo replied to MEGATRONICMEATWAGON's topic in Chat
My walking shoes were starting to fall apart (upper separating from the soles) so sought out a new pair. Couldn't get the same sort again as the current version of the shoe isn't waterproof/ Gore-Tex so had to research something entirely new. Fingers crossed I've not been sold a pup. But nuff time to break them in. -

I've spent a fair amount of time in hot countries and opted for sarongs, lungi, dhotis etc when it gets too hot to handle. They're great. Though I've also worn kilts in plenty of pretty out their environments and never once had chafing in a place where you really don't want any chafing. -
Didn't she get a decent crowd up against Macca?
-
Michael and Emily have said in interviews that 2016 was really touch and go at one point.
-
Murrayfield seated tickets going for £610 a pop right now.
-
Nope - direct availability rather than secondary market. Although I've checked again and they're now labelled as Platinum.
-
Ticketmaster have dynamic pricing on for Murrayfield. Pit tickets currently about £300 more than I paid for them on Tuesday.
-
That's a big step down.

You usually see one or two kilts - but alongside the reasons mentioned above is they're pretty expensive and could pretty easily get trashed at the G. -
Live gigs - Who you've seen were they good, bad etc.

They're always on good form to be fair. Consistently fun as a live proposition - and just about due for a return visit to the farm. -
Not sure how Beatles Dub Club works, but surely The Sound of Science would have been a better cut to use from Paul's Boutique?
-
Doesn't really practice what he preaches though to be fair.
-
But.....that is a greatest hits setlist with his best chance at crossover appeal?

What telly progs are you bingeing on?

Amazing 👏 That jump cut as heart-breaking as anything in Ozymandias. -
It's Boss Time at Murrayfield

By the looks of the map they've released it does. Looks like the roll calls are now a thing of the past.
