    Avalon 2024

Toyah and Robert will be fun in there. Sign me up.
  2. Bootlegs headlining is equiv of putting Beans in the Avalon or Fatboy on the Other. Its lazy.
  3. Think it might even out actually. I'm a doom-monger usually (vet of 97/05/07/16).
  4. I find the need to temper people's honest disappointment even more tedious.
  5. Was the quality of the sound in 2017 technical, atmospheric or a heavenly concoction of both? Amongst the purist, juiciest sounding live shows ive experienced anywhere. Cant just have been the PA.
  6. Paranoid London/Marc Ribbilet/Flying Mohito Brothers (of course may all be added - preferably on Sat evening) Yousef Dayes and Michael Rother (think its wild theyve not booked either) Ohsees/Underworld/Smile/Patti/Weller/Khruangbin (would have hugely improved mid-card and could have headlined Woodsies/Park) Anything from the Cross The Tracks or Wide Awake line ups (where i've not spotted an overlap apologies but was so keen to see Neal Francis this year on the farm) Truthfully tho, can't get my head round Springsteen not playing, given his proximity that weekend and his presence in 2022.
  7. Can fully imagine you misty-eyed up the front for "To Win Just Once".
  8. Sat night shitpocalypse. Theyve taken Williams Green away too. Whenever Muse play thats where I hide. A glum buzz, folks, not gone lie.
  9. Could really do with Orbital moving into a headliner spot for Sat night. Coldplay Disclosure Jessie Ware Gossip Peggy Gou This is a brutal Sat night otherwise.
  10. 2008 was ace. A tonne of indie landfill but heaps of memorable stuff. Jazzworld was superb. Eddy Grant for example - quintessential Glasto performance.
  11. Woodsies and Other both weak as piss. Im a little cold on the Park also tbh. Peggy Gou? Really? Whole hill there to mooch their way through the nanana tune? Fontaines are the pits and booking Orbital 30 years after their debut to go on 2nd last before two-tunes-and-the-truth dirge like London Grammer is berzerk. Rest of the stage's billing is vanilla af.

    Dexys?

Burn It Down, Seven Days - you forget what a rave up that record is.
  13. The lack of Williams Green a real pisser upon proceedings.
  14. Aka worst glasters of a generation.
