I saw plenty of gazebos and pup tents in the campervan area and very few, if any, staff patrolling.

Stop providing camper van/ caravan places and replace the space with more car parking. I speak as someone who has attended every Glastonbury since 2003 and half of them in my van but in my (unpopular) opinion, camping outside the fence is a lesser experience and encourages too many old biffers to keep coming. The festival should be something you fully participate in rather than attend/observe. Whenever I've taken my tent in, and I last camped inside the fence in 2019, it's been a more immersive experience and I've contributed more to the place. Go into the camper van fields and it feels more like a caravan club rally than a festival with neatly pegged awnings, gas barbecues, satellite tv dishes out and moaning oldies going to bed at 10pm.

We went last year and stayed in our camper van. My memories: LONG walk from camper van area to the festival site. Staid crowd with very few folk mangled/wasted/raving (sadly).More like Latitude than Boomtown! Lots of families and felt like the kind of place you could let your kids run free without worrying. I reckon it could be a bit boring by day 2 or 3 as needs more venues and late night stuff to make me consider going again. Good enough if you have kids though.

I've taken the coach from Lincoln a few times. It departs from Unity Square right next to the premier inn. Single from Kings X to Lincoln is £17.50 each on night of Tuesday 21st June. Premier Inn is expensive - £119 for a double room but you can roll out of bed and be at the coach in 30 seconds.
