  1. I'd love to see Kneecap on the bill somewhere, reckon they'd knock it out of the park
  2. Yea that's the place, the whole area had a great vibe
  3. Not sure if it qualifies as a micro venue but definitely a small venue, one year I spent an amazing 2 hours at a life drawing class at about 10pm in a tent in the common. As the night went on a DJ played in the corner while naked models posed on a shezlong on a small stage, crazy place with a fantastic welcoming vibe
  4. back in the early days of Shangri-la I stumbled on a room with white walls, and two holes in the walls one was for the DJ booth the outer sold margaritas and it was full with less than 30 people, the music was great and we just got lost in there for hours, when the gang of us finally left one of the guys asked why they had turned the lights on, he was shocked to hear that that wasn't the lights but the sun had come up, one of my favorite Glastonbury memories
  5. Another good option would be post on here closer to the time and arrange to share a cab with others coming in around the same time, then do what you normally do.
  6. Just to add my thanks to all the diligent forecasters, I've no idea what I'm going to do at work next week when not obsessing over this forum. Also thanks to all the contributers / debaters and everyone else ii has been such a joy following this tread over the past while, sleep well and ill see you all tomorrow.
  7. this is a good plan, what I've done in the past, was I put most of my gear in the closest lock-up to Gate A then took my tent and bare essentials and then when all was set up went back for the rest of my gear at my leisure
  8. I'm afraid I can'help you with that one, sorry, I know I looked on the national express site before and I couldn't see a one way option, that could have changed, as far as I can remember there is a ticket office at the festival bus station, others might be able to help with that one..... You could try posting in the "lift share" form and you might find someone to share a taxi with.....
  9. Elton John 72 Candi Staton 30 Phoenix 19 (-10)
  10. the chicks for sure, Seth Lukeman (acoustic stage) might qualify too depending on your definition
  11. Hi, best option if your on your own is get the bus back to Bristol and the Bristol flyer airport shuttle out to the airport (if there's a group of you a taxi/uber might be a better option)
  12. Elton John 72 Young Fathers 50Candi Staton 46Rina Sawayama 37Phoenix 40 (-10) Caroline Polachek 30
  13. There is a post today on one of the facebook groups (apparently with Emily's blessing) reporting the Michael has had some health issues over that past few months and they are organizing a "Michael Mob" before the fireworks to sing "there's only one Michael Eves" and send him best wishes
  14. never, it can only anger the weather gods...... (wellies are crap anyway #teamwalkingboots )
  15. Just want to give this a bump for all those that mightn't have seen it, not long now till we have a pint in The Ridge And Furrow, Wednesday 6pm.
