  1. I’m just way too impressionable, probably something I need to work on 🤣
  2. Aye yeah, good point about the set times. Now I come to think of it the 3 bands I mentioned that made me buy a Friday ticket I have actually seen within the last year… definitely feels less value for money today than it did when I bought the ticket yesterday. Anyhow I’m sure I’ll have a decent time and here’s hoping the weather delivers
  3. Car park pass is what’s peeved me off, to be honest. I can just about stomach £124 for a Friday day ticket as combined gigs for QOTSA, Royal Blood and Bad Omens is likely more than that. I was thinking £20 max for the car park pass! Annoying you have to pay the same amount as a weekend ticket holder would.
  4. £124 for a Friday day ticket and £35 for a parking pass. Ouch.
  5. Tomorrow from 10am, seems really late this year!
  6. Hadn’t realised Foals supported them, that’s class. I remember one of the first things I thought when hearing This Is Why was how Foalsy it was.
  7. Yeah that’s fair. I’m sort of the opposite, have only really gotten into them in the past couple of years so think that’s why I appreciate the newer stuff more
  8. In Paramore’s defence, whilst their latest album is quite sonically different from anything they’ve done before, it is absolutely cracking and I’d love to see them at Leeds next year.
  9. £60 for a day ticket is a bargain! Swear I saw some Reading day tickets on Ticketmaster for £120 recently..
  10. Ah yeah actually both a very good point. Will stop digging myself into a hole 🤣 if they’re ever rebooked they’ll smash it as they always do, no doubt
  11. Agree they won’t be first choice (shame as they’re my no.1 band). I think their crowd size at Leeds in 2022 will speak for why that is. Admittedly this photo was at the end of their set and the thinned out front section is probably something all MSW headliners struggled with.
  12. Biffy are a weird one. They’re still an arena band and as Andre91 said they probably will continue to be an arena band. They haven’t ever done a run of the smaller Superstruct festivals (other than Victorious, which I’d class as mid size given 65k capacity) nor do I think they will any time soon. Now a regular Download headliner, have and will probably do TRNSMT and Isle of Wight again. By that logic they should be in contention for the second “headliner”, if that will even exist next year. But as GFA says they’re no Gerry or Catfish for the youth. I still think they can fit the R&L vibe if they’re billed appropriately. Stick them on a day topped by Foo Fighters and I think they can just about get away with it.
  13. Interesting how he said he felt he could accommodate the six headliners on one stage. Taking, for example, BMTH and Arctic Monkeys in 2022, there’s no way you could have had both their stage sets rigged up ready to go on the same stage. It has to be one or the other surely? Really is just a glorified sub now, isn’t it?
  14. I’m in a bit of an echo chamber when it comes to pop-punk as I’m a fan and so are my pals but I thought the impression was it was making a comeback of sorts, so I think there will be hype around Blink from a fair few younger people.
  15. Neither had I until about 2 months ago. Proper got into them recently. Think the last time they played (after a 30 sec Google) was 2011. Not even sure if they come to the UK all that often
