  1. Lineup 2018

From an outsider's point of view, as someone who doesn't listen to any of these bands properly I can still name Iron Maiden songs,Metallica songs and Black Sabbath songs. Can't name a slipknot song, I'd guess it's the same for most people who don't listen to that kind of music. I'd agree with the fact they're a big band that everyone knows, but unlike the others, to the general public don't really have iconic songs or the same status as Maiden, Metallica etc.
  2. Lineup 2018

Did you mean to quote me? Think you meant to quote Will lmao.
  3. Lineup 2018

Yeah, he doesn't come off as the smartest from that video. Foals to headline NME? Sure mate. I mean if you're gonna make a prediction you might aswell atleast have a look at how big certain bands are for their placements.
  4. Lineup 2018

As soon as I saw Rammstein halfway down The Pit AND misspelled, I clicked off.
  5. Lineup 2018

I'll admit that I do kind of like Rattlesnake. Absolutely love the video to be fair lmao.
  6. Lineup 2018

I mean, it shows how much I really tried to get into them that I did actually realise these were lyrics haha
  7. Lineup 2018

I feel like I'm one of the only people, at least on this forum, that doesn't like King Giz. Just can't get into it and I really wanted to be able to lmao.
  8. Lineup 2018

Honestly, couldn't agree more. It is pretty much fact that hip hop is beating rock and most other genres to be completely fair. You often hear artists say that Kanye is among their biggest influences. That's not just rappers either. Kanye has influenced a whole generation of artists across Rock, R&B, Indie, Dance and of course Hip Hop. If neither Kendrick or Kanye are booked next year then R&L are definitely missing something.
  9. Lineup 2018

I upvoted, I agree completely lmao.
  10. Lineup 2018

I agree completely with all of this. Kanye and Kendrick would both sell tickets and both suit the festival. Drake is, well I've already made my thoughts on Drake clear on here. He's a popstar. Really shouldn't headline. Way more suited to Wireless/V like Mattymooz said.
  11. Lineup 2018

If there's going to be another hip hop headliner then personally, I'd prefer Kendrick. Kanye would still be a great, but I'm holding out for Kendrick.
  12. Lineup 2018

I know no one on here really cares about 1Xtra stage or acts (At all) but I've got to say Wretch 32 is definitely a strong candidate for 1Xtra or a 6PM or so NME slot. New album released today, bit of hype around it, bit of a legend on the scene (Very similar in status to Lethal Bizzle this year). Would be a good booking imo.
  13. Lineup 2018

Wouldn't the ongoing beef between Kendrick and Big Sean possibly put them off booking both? Or atleast both not on same stage and same day.
  14. Lineup 2018

If The Streets were to come back for more than just those 6 April dates, where could they fit at R&L as a possibility?
  15. Lineup 2018

Radiohead would definitely appeal to a lot of people at R&L tbh. I know a lot of people from like 15-24 who go to festivals including R&L and absolutely love Radiohead. They're very much still popular with people in their teens and early twenties (R&L's main audience at this point). I'd say Kendrick, Radiohead and Royal Blood or Arctic Monkeys would be a solid weekend.
