  1. Lineup 2018

How can you say you're certain that it's the case now when the Wireless lineup currently only features 3 female acts and all previous R&L lineups have had a huge gender imbalance. That can't be purely because everyone is on a level playing field and only the best acts are getting booked.
  2. Lineup 2018

Nah no way, Leeds rarely sells out and if it does it tends to be a particular day pretty close to the festival. If AM end up being one of the headliners I'd say that day will probably sell out earlier than normal but you'd still have longer than Wireless sold.

  4. Lineup 2018

She posted that 7 hours ago and all you've done is accuse her of moaning . That was one of the first tweets she posted on the subject, I had to scroll way back to find it.
  5. Lineup 2018

Got Warpaint and HAIM, but exactly - the list goes on.
  6. Lineup 2018

You don't have to know who they are. Presumably you won't know 90% of the men on the lineup either. But don't you think, given that all those names would be suited to the festival and popular bookings, it's pretty shocking that there's only 3 females on the poster.
  7. Lineup 2018

And then she continued to retweet loads of suggestions people tweeted to her, one of which The Wonderwhy posted above.
  8. Lineup 2018

    Yes she has, repeatedly.
  9. Lineup 2018

Just come up with this pretty quickly. Friday: Paramore, Chvrches, Wolf Alice, Babymetal, PVRIS, Tonight Alive, Gogol Bordello, The Big Moon, Milk Teeth Saturday: Arcade Fire, The xx, Lorde, HAIM, Metronomy, Creeper, Alvvays, Pale Waves, YONAKA Sunday: Florence & the Machine, Dua Lipa, Faithless, M.I.A., Warpaint, Marmozets, Fickle Friends, Black Honey, Anteros Haven't checked that all of those are definitely touring around R&L, but I'm pretty sure most of them would be available. I know that's only the main stage but I could go on. They could easily fill the lineup with more female acts if they wanted - IMO a main stage like that would be better than anything we're likely to get. Yes it's probably lacking in certain genres but really it could be a lot more representative than it has been in recent years. It's nothing to do with ticking boxes.

  11. Lineup 2018

How do you know what she's tweeting about if she's blocked you?
  12. Parklife 2018

Had a good time at Parklife this year. Not too sure if I'll be going next year, but if the lineup is as good as last years I'll definitely consider it. Looking like Gorillaz are a solid shout right now. Other options from the top of my head: The Prodigy alt-J Catfish & the Bottlemen Liam Gallagher Thoughts?
  13. Parklife 2018

Ahh fair. Wonder if King Kong is just a continuation of that theme or a genuine hint towards Gorillaz. Would make sense if they were both some sort of hints considering they're so prominent at the top of the poster, yet throwing people off who think it's just part of the movie theme.
  14. Parklife 2018

Or (this is a stretch I know), could be referencing alt-J - 'This is all yours'. Or it's not a hint at all and I'm looking into it too much.
  15. Parklife 2018

'the world is yours', could that be a hint for nas?
  16. Lineup 2018

Yeah will be surprised if The Hunna are any lower than 3rd main now.
  17. Lineup 2018

Probably so he could be surrounded by 16 year old girls.
  18. Benicassim (FIB) 2018

    shocker
  19. Lineup 2018

He'd probably be NME headliner if he played now. I was predicting him for that slot in 2019.
  20. 2019 Headliners

Aye will depend on when his next album comes out. No doubt he'll be big when it does though.
  21. Lineup 2018

Any 'announcement poster' circulating on Twitter is fake. We don't even know when the announcement is yet so the legit one probably hasn't even been made yet.
  22. Latitude 2018

Pretty sure the Massive Attack eden session shows are meant to be their only outdoor UK dates this year.
  23. Changed some of my prediction in light of recent announcements. Still sticking to the 2 main stage thing being false. Also the lower main/NME stage is just filler but it's impossible to predict so not gonna waste time thinking of better ideas. 24. Lineup 2018

Hi, long time reader, first time poster. Apparently R&L accidentally tweeted this then deleted it? Sorry if it's been discussed already.
  25. Lineup 2018

They could be another shout for FR headliner.
