  1. Saw Underworld at the Usher Hall last night - fantastic. They're playing two sets on this tour so all the bangers plus a few new tunes and some deep cuts, 3 hour show including a short break. Incredible energy as always. Can't say the same for the crowd unfortunately - we were down the front but nevertheless surrounded by people standing motionless while they waited for Born Slippy. A real shame they're not at the farm this year.
  2. Yeah that can get in the sea. I've still to crack late night Glasto - are any of the areas this kind of vibe? And by "vibe" I mean raging bin fire.
  3. As in, the biggest DJ they will have on the bill??? I think I may be slowing my age here.
  4. Will Peggy Gou be live or DJ? That's my main gripe (as with Fatboy following Left field last year) - surely we can keep the stages for live acts given the many many DJ slots on elsewhere. Sunday 2014 was brutal on paper. We ended up watching Jagwa Mar in Williams Green (RIP) which was great fun. Personally looking forward to Jessie Ware, only started listening to her last album which sounds good enough to me to warrant a repeat showing following 22.
  5. Dont set off without it like I've just done!
  6. This is what my plan is looking like at the moment. Most likely flying solo for a lot / all of it so will be keeping things pretty flexible to suit my mood. Thursday Pub crawl; London Electricity (Glade Dome); Shanti Celeste B2B Danielle (Levels); Crazy P (Glade); Paranoid London (Levels); Leon Vynehall (San Remo); Daniel Avery B2B Richard Fearless (Glade) Friday Hot Chip; Glitterbox (Greenpeace); Liberators (Temple); spfdj (Temple) or Folamour (Nowhere); Paranoid London (Nowhere) Saturday Leftfield -> FBS; either Optimo (San Remo) and bed or Con Man (Stonebridge) -> Stanton Warriors (Bimble) or Analog Soul -> Ben UFO (Genosys) or that run at the Temple Sunday Reg; Astra Club -> Palms Trax (San Remo) or Underground Resistance (Iicon) -> Andy Cato -> Phil Hartnol (Flying Bus) This last one likely to depend on the San Remo vibe. Never spent much time there (or in the Beat Hotel before it) but I've seen people saying it's a bit coke-y which isn't what I'm after.
  7. I used the Greenpeace showers for the first time last year and they were fab. Get a ticket and they'll give you a rough time your number will come up, but don't worry if you miss it - if you're late you just join a much smaller queue of people who's number has come up and you get in very quickly. Although I'd guess this will only go so far and maybe if you're really late you'll have to start over. They're communal showers mostly (I think there was one single bit for those who wanted) which I just admit took me by surprise. In the men's anyway. As someone has said they provide shower gel so all you need to bring is a towel, so very convenient all round.
  8. Got the new Daniel Avery EP on now and it's sounding good. Would love a live set - is he just down to DJ so far?
  9. Anyone else hoping James Holden might pop up somewhere? Thought the glade would be a good fit but alas no. Do we tend to get many live sets in Block 9? I remember Overmono from last year but that's it. His new album is an absolute belter.
  10. Pretty gutted, I'll be there (and I suppose and early slot only makes that more likely, which is something) but seems like pretty awful scheduling to me. Did anyone catch them in 2015 headlining Sonic? Maybe if they didn't get much of a crowd there, that's the reason for a low billing this time around?
  11. They've both headlined Sonic before so I suppose they're a similar draw. I'd be very surprised if Leftfield don't headline though, not least because it's pretty rare to have a DJ close one of the non-dance stages (with good reason IMO - plenty of places for them to play later on). Is it possible they will keep the park stage going past headliner time and have FBS play then?
  12. Did Jamie XX do a DJ set there one year too? Does seem like an odd choice rather than his (usual?) Saturday night headline slot in Sonic (or whatever is now called)
  13. SoundCloud is brilliant for finding full DJ sets, and easier to listen to on the go than YouTube.
  14. Ahhh, I was hoping for Optimo to be pushed back instead but that's better than nothing!
  15. Snap! I've now got 4 years of running on fumes under my belt so fully expecting to see at least once sunrise this year.
