  1. Rock Werchter 2018

Most likely it's just that Nick Cave is booked for some other festival on the Friday, but hasn't been announced yet. Roskilde is missing a Friday headliner.
  2. Rock Werchter 2018

Tinderbox in Denmark are announcing a big headliner on Monday as well.
  3. Open'er 2018

I'd say Nick Cave or The Killers are the most safe bet.
  4. Mad Cool 2018

Don't think it can compete at all with what Rock Werchter achieved this year. Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Linkin Park, System Of A Down, Kings Of Leon and Arcade Fire. Plus Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Prophets Of Rage, Royal Blood and Blink-182.
  5. Rock Werchter 2018

San Siro, Olympic Stadium and a Bologna show? Are Pearl Jam the world's biggest band according to the Italians or what?
  6. Lineup 2018

Well, if Foo Fighters, Kendrick and The Killers are the case, I'm on my way. Arctic Monkeys < The Killers for me.
  7. Roskilde 2018

Gorillaz and David Byrne (Talking Heads frontman) were announced today along with Stormzy and a couple of undercards.
  8. Roskilde 2018

First names for Roskilde announced today: Bruno Mars, Vince Staples and Mogwai as the well known artists. The festival will run from 30 June to 7 July with music playing from 4 July.
  9. Secret Sets

I notice the 1h 20min gap both before and after Milky Chance at the NME stage on Sunday. QOTSA or Royal Blood would be sweet.
  10. Rock Werchter 2017

Roskilde is the same weekend as RW. The festival it self starts Saturday, yes, but the music starts on Wednesday. Against Me is therefore very likely for RW too.
  11. Roskilde Festival 2017

24 new acts just confirmed including Father John Misty, who will play Orange Main Stage. Nothing else major in this announcement, but personally happy to see A Day To Remember was there. 94 out of about 175 acts announced by now, so still a lot more to come. Full line up released in the beginning of April.
  12. 2017 festival

My hope for tomorrow is Royal Blood gets announced to sub Muse, Eminem gets announced with Major Lazer subbing and Kasabian don't play Saturday. 30SM or Bastille to sub Muse or Eminem would also be fine.
  13. 2017 festival

The closest affordable hotel I can find at the moment is a 45 minute walk, which can be okay. Through some quick flight search it looks like we'll be arriving in Stansted - it's the cheapest and has the best times.
  14. 2017 festival

If Eminem gets announced as the last headliner, a friend and I have decided to go to Reading. The plan is to fly to one of the outskirt airports of London, rent a car and book a hotel in the Reading area. We get the feeling that avoiding the trains will be smart. When we'll be heading to the festival, we assume it'll be possible to park the car a mile or so from the site and then walk from there (like Reading West Station area). Can some of you experienced goers say if that's a good plan, or are there some sort of parking restrictions in Reading we should be familiar with? We have ruled out to camp at the festival.
  15. Rock Werchter 2017

Very unlikely. Don't know why they haven't put it on that tour list, but he is also confirmed for Roskilde on 28th and Open'er on 30th.
