  1. Massively second lambrini girls and bob vylan, both fantastic bands
  2. There are no more milk tractors / vendors roaming the campsites! Sadly!
  3. If the OP doesnt know what it looks like already (unlikely) i would make a point of not spoiling the surprise by looking! each to their own but i would not waste any time going to car henge or glastonbury on sea. They are both rubbish. GOS is fine for entertaining kids for a bit but otherwise, meh. Or rather, not what i am looking for in a festival queing for the ribbon tower is pointless since the capacity increases, you will be there forever.
  4. You cant go to a festival without a power bank! Invest in a decent one if you have any must see acts just get there plenty of time before and you will get a good spot. people complain about being locked out of certain acts or being right at the back but arrived 5/10 mins before they came on 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. Session victim live and Margaret Dygas are 2 names i would never have expected to see! Insane, proper stuff. dan avery oof as well 💪🏼
  6. I think this debate has got a bit out of hand now and should probably be reigned in a bit Perhaps the thread should be brought to a close, will leave that to the mods.
  7. It is possible it feels unlikely to me but is a possibility
  8. I think thats a fair point. conversely he has done loads of great shows for audiences of all ages for over a decade its their choice but glastonbury will be a duller place without him (that was in reply to gigpusher)
  9. I doubt we will ever find out why but it appears that it can only really be to do with soho theatre and the mainstream media and trying to cancel him without all of the facts. what else could it be? At the end of the day he has completed at least 60-70 shows without incident at the festival. So what is their problem all of a sudden?
  10. To argue against my own point…. In 2008 you still had a relatively strong reading and leeds and a very strong bestival as a genuine alternative. Now neither exist and as a large scale event in the UK glasto has zero serious competitors. (Obviously reading and leeds still exists, but not as a serious alternative)
  11. All it needs is 3 very wet festivals in a row. See 2008. it hasnt been wet for 8 calendar years and 4 consecutive festivals. Fwiw i think it makes a huge difference to sales. i would guess that up to 50% of 2024 attendees may never have witnessed a wet glastonbury in person If you want a ticket for 2025 and dont have one for 2024 the absolute best case scenario for you is a washout In relation to this, i dont think the current site capacity has been properly tested under very wet conditions. I would be inclined to say it would not fare at all well as there are now too many people on site.
  12. Do they actually check your admission tickets on entry to the car park? I never recall having this happen when we have driven in with car park pass on display, they just wave you in dont they? disclaimer i would like to park a car in the carpark tuesday evening and get back to bristol to stay over at a friends and then get my weds morning coach from bristol to the festival i was thinking of pre arranging a taxi from the fest to either wells (bus back to bristol) or castle cary and then train back to bristol
  13. I dont expect the festival to change their decision at this point as it sounds final However if you’d be inclined to contact / email the festival in support of paul as i have, if you feel strongly enough about it, i’d be grateful. Paul DM’d me on instagram in response to a comment and asked if people would contact the festival in support of him. It seems clear that his income and livelihood is being severely affected by this and it just doesnt feel at all deserved to me. Lets leave the israel / palestine discussion for elsewhere but if you would be able to contact glastonbury it would be appreciated. I think they deserve to hear that some attendees are unimpressed by this.
  14. Yes, this is extremely important the bbc and other news articles did not have all the facts and buried him just like soho did. A complete travesty.
  15. No his material is not even slightly controversial it is possible but also unlikely given paul currie has performed 13 years straight and has openly confirmed he has been barred from performing The crowdfunder link has all the details. its a piss poor decision and yes echoes the corbyn film cancellation
  16. My view is the festival dont like bad press (even though any bad press wouldnt be warranted obviously) so have nipped it in the bud. hugely disappointing. Makes you wonder why anyone would be a creative when seemingly you can be cancelled over nothing
  17. Hi all im sure many of you will have seen the maginificent paul currie perform over the years at the festival on the riser stages in theatre and circus Paul has been performing at glastonbury for 13 years and has just confirmed he has been blocked from performing this year and will not be able to appear. Paul makes no secret of his support for Palestine but he has been targeted by zionist groups trying to cancel him and ruin his career unjustly. Other than the contact form on the festival website, are there any email addresses for people / departments at the festival anyone could pass on to try and contact the organisers about this? it feels insane for Paul to have been falsely cancelled by both soho theatre and now the festival he has been performing at without issue for 13 years. I will be trying to contact the festival to express my disappointment and hopefully i can count on some of you to do the same? Paul’s instagram that explains more is here: https://www.instagram.com/paulcurriecomedian?igsh=Z21nNDRxZzl2Y2c0
  18. Extremely lucky to have had a family member get in and buy for us this eve. Feeling very grateful! 3 more tickets to get on sunday tho, so no celebrations yet
  19. Im not bothered by the national but a friend is, will the razz sell out to VIP or do you think they will keep some back for general?
  20. Starting to belive the annie mac thing. Woefully crap / budget if true. im sure some will enjoy but just really showing that theres no money in the pot for acts
  21. Listened to to it, there is more that she isnt letting on, obviously. must be a collaborative / interative type of performance where her djing is part of a larger thing. Think about it logically a straight up dj set is not going to work in that scenario.
  22. No but think it about it logically and it doesnt make any sense at all when was the last time a DJ set opened a main bands stage at any major music festival, never mind glastonbury? if thats what it is, its completely bizarre programming not to mention very glastonbudget who wants to see someone dj’ing a huge stage at 11:30am at a festival? it must be some kind of different / special collaborative thing or something. Maybe an orchestra or something? i havent minded her over the years but she’s a DJ not a musician.
  23. It will be this an annie mac di set is not opening a main stage 😂 probs glade or something
  24. Bimble inn stock burrow hill, the same as the cider bus
  25. Thanks Matthew for organising! Any helpers would be hugely appreciated 🙏🏼
