There is concrete seating at the back of Castlefield Bowl - which are perfect! Given up on the standing melee as they do pack them in at Castlefield - so usually get there early - as soon as gates open -which is about 5 - sit in the middle next to sound desk (usually most stand up when the main band are on) - there is a bar and toilets just behind - which is usually not busy as everyone standing goes to the other bars. So sit yourself down get a drink, people watch, and watch the support. Done this the last two visits to see Lathums and James. Go to the Ox Noble pub first - which is about 200 metres away from the main entrance. Alternatively get yourself a barge, moor on the canal basin next to the Bowl!

Out of office is on - so I can finish off what I need to do today without being pestered! Van is on the drive, packing this evening, and then setting off tomorrow morning - stop over Wells, site Sunday. Surely I don't need all this alcohol..........

Thinking about it - I think last year T&H was closed temporarily as they had a large JCB in there - probably moving the pizza oven!! Had I been a bit more patient, then Im sure it would have opened - thinking that was probably about Tuesday. I shall do some market research by wandering around them on the Sunday evening!

Anyone know which crew bar opens first. Tow and Hitch always seems to be being built even on Wednesday. Acoustic also - but they seem to let you in even though its not finished. Think it may be Maceos. Are there any up and running as early as the Sunday before? Dont think any of the main bars open until at least Tuesday.

We stayed off site a few years ago - and had a taxi booked to take us every day and collect - it was all pre-booked and worked well, although not the cheapest. There was 4/5 of us - and it was about £40 return. You will need to make sure its pre-booked, which we did for the whole festival
