  1. Lineup 2018

can't forget that burning two big headliners in one year like foos and AM makes their life even harder next year.
  2. Lineup 2018

doubt it. the boring brother wouldn't go down anywhere near as well as liam gallagher last year. (although i wasn't there for it personally so idk what the feel on the ground was)
  3. Lineup 2018

in regards to secret set - I think The 1975 are a dead cert, they have a new album to promote, probably tour dates AND it sets them up very nicely to headline in 2019.
  4. Lineup 2018

two main stages. hmm. sounds cool.
  5. Lineup 2018

they would absolutely smash an NME headline slot. That's the stuff dreams are made of.
  6. Lineup 2018

could defo see them co-headline w/ RB. two v different set of headliners. not sure if they compliment eac other as well as bands like foals/disclosure or QOTSA/paramore. but think it is a definite possibility.
  7. they are absolutely destroying it with this resurgence at the moment. I am not entirely sure where it has come from considering we probably thought they were dead and buried back in 2014/2015. It is quite cool to see it, and gives me faith that with a little help many decent bands can claw their way out of the impending doom that is the music industry.
  8. Citadel 2018

where is the info from? awesome if true
  9. they've played most smaller festivals over the past couple years. Wombat's played under them at a lot of festivals, i can definitely see where you're coming from but Franz Ferdinand are a big pull to smaller festivals, but aren't to larger ones, it's the complete opposite for Wombats. Wombats were going that way but have seen a resurgence into the mainstream. Franz Ferdinand have not. They are a novelty act and therefore would probably headline the Festival Republic stage where many go if they dislike the headliner and nme headliner. Edit: they would probably play against Kendrick. I am not entirely sure that is true.
  10. Wombats 2015 slot. unsure how big a crowd franz ferdinand would pull these days. really doubt they'd be 4th. Maybe 3rd NME.
  11. TRUCK 2018

Was my third year last year and I can say with certainty it has gone from a local festival to an arena festival. Was impressed. Maybe it was the mud, but the whole festival felt utterly different to past years, however they still retained what made it good. the local congregation are the main suppliers of food, the various stalls of vintage gear was run excellently. They definitely did struggle a little with the increase, especially on the arrival day. queued for up to 2 n half hours. I have no doubt they will be better prepared this year however. It had a very good, strong line-up that catered towards their clientele and you'd hope they would come back this year even stronger. Saying that I really have absolutely no idea who is going to headline. Someone like Blossoms could definitely play. i think the booking team enjoy promoting bands who haven't headlined many festivals before but are on the up (e.g. CATB in 2016)
  12. for Franz Ferdinand, you're probably looking at FR stage headliners.
  13. First Announcement Prediction Game

Foo Fighters Pixies Wolf Alice J Hus Creeper Pale Waves Declan McKenna Hannah Wants Sigrid Post Malone
  14. Future Headliners

The disaster that was the release of their second album surely makes them obsolete from getting anywhere above 3rd down main I think. All the bands that I have classed 'Don't count on it' are there because we are talking about headliners here. Not Sub, not NME, not FR. Straight headliners.
