  1. A FESTIVAL which organisers describe as Mid Wales’ ‘best kept secret’ is returning to Radnorshire this summer. Landed Festival is back again from July 29-31 at the Doldowlod estate, near Rhayader, where it will celebrate its 11th anniversary. Landed was one of the only music and arts festival to run last year and this plucky little festival is pushing ahead this year after celebrating its 10th birthday in 2021. Set in the beautiful grounds of Doldowlod, this year’s line-up includes names such as System 7, Gaudi and Ozric Tentacles on the main stage, in addition to hundreds of other bands and DJ’s. “With multiple stages and numerous music genres (see website for full listings), Landed manages to provide an entertainment level suited to a much larger festival while keeping a cosy vibe where everyone seems to know everyone else by the end of the weekend,” said festival chiefs. “If you’re a festival regular or a first-time curious, this is definitely one of Mid Wales’ best kept secrets that’s worth discovering.” Also set to feature on the main stage this year are Yoko Pwno, Bustawidemove, Paradox, Defaced, local band The New Deadly and Wide Open Spaces, plus more. There’ll be plenty of acts on other stages too, including The Incubator, The Other Psyde and Guy arenas, while acts for The Trailer Stage and Horsebox Stage will be announced soon. Elsewhere on site, there’ll also be a kids area, the spectacular pimp your duck race is at 2pm on Sunday, July 31, while there are also live onsite sculptures, chainsaw carving, a bouncy castle and arts and crafts stalls. Landed Festival is a uniquely Mid Wales event, welcoming a diverse range of creative people, including theatrical performers, poets, circus performers, as well as hosting a healing area with massage and holistic therapies, crafts, traders and caterers. A full price weekend ticket is £100 online (plus booking fee) with 12-year-olds and under able to enter for free (under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Live-in vehicles are £10 on the door, while individual Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets are available at £35 per day (plus booking fee) or on the door, dependant on capacity status. Visit the Landed website at http://www.landedfestival.co.uk/ for more details or also email enquiries@landedfestival.co.uk for information.
