Been out of the Reading loop for a while, and have now learnt he difference between East and West stage. Would seem very unlikely I would agree. Probably looking at someone like Jamie T, Pulp, Royal Blood, anybody that sort of size.

Yeah I feel like they are nailed on for next year, probably close the festival on Sunday again. Though if that chance arises to bring them forward a year, while demand for them is so high, would be daft not to explore it IMO. Probably not viable financially though. Would be enough for me to buy a Saturday day ticket though with them and The Killers. I'd bet on one of Pulp or Royal Blood. Not sure if The Strokes are a festival exclusive at APE, would be another huge booking but again, would cost £££.

Do we think there's any chance of blink-182? Start their Europe tour the Friday after Reading so their schedule allows it at relatively short notice. From a cost perspective and genre perspective, probably a significant departure from Capaldi. But would be a huge booking given their recent popularity, and stepped in last minute at Coachella this year if that adds to anything.

Billie Joe said on Friday that ‘you’ll be hearing a lot more from us over the next couple days’. Could just be there’s another announcement for a tour or could be something quite epic. I might take the risk, then disappear swiftly at 9:30 if it isn’t. Not sure on the walk between there and pyramid though, is it long?

Secret Glasto tweeting about green day, is it a little hint or just having some fun? Would be devastated to miss it if they did play (fully acknowledge there is about 0.1% chance of it happening)

Anybody have any theories as to why ok the EE app the JP and Park the 2 secret slots are ‘TBC’ but other gaps are ‘TBA’. Interesting they’ve used 2 different phrases, is that usual?

I'm still toying with the thought of buying/wearing wellies, and I am now feeling the high pressure of not deciding. I hate wellies (and walking boots), but muddy soggy trainers are probably just as bad. Is it wise to be a chancer and just take trainers, or am I being stupid?

Been following this thread religiously for a couple days now (god knows why, I'm back at the farm after a 5 year hiatus, a little bit of rain ain't gonna spoil my fun!). For me the million $ question is, how much rain is needed to turn the tide from trainers to wellies? Based on yr.no forecast which is the worst atm I think, we have 6.5mm of rain on Friday/Saturday. Are we expecting Saturday that the ground is churned and we swap the trainers for wellies?
