    2024 Headliners

Coldplay last played in 2016, that right? Foos played in 2017 and then again this year and that was all well and good, but if Coldplay play again next year that is too soon? Guess it really is cool to hate Coldplay!
  2. Why are they never talked about as a headliner these days? Saw them at a festival in Bristol last summer and they were phenomenal! The show they put on would be right at home on Pyramid IMO.
  3. Ah thank you! So not really Glasto related in that case, just general Swifty. Was reading about the process of getting a TS ticket and was astonished at the popularity she has. Has there ever been a musical act as popular? Not my cup of tea at all personally, but have to respect the level she is clearly at. Ballots etc for tickets is unheard of for almost all artists isn't it?
  4. Doesn't feel desperately unrealistic.. I would be delighted personally if that was close to the real thing. Would be the first Glasto I would not watch a pyramid headliner.
  5. Am I missing something re Swift? OI thought she was pretty much confirmed not to be playing the festival? Only every time I log into the forum this thread is still pretty much always in the top 2 or 3... Have things changed? Is it now looking more likely she will play? Praying that is not the case from a purely selfish POV as tickets are hard enough to get without a couple more million Swift fans joining the queue!
  6. Funnily enough (did not see the funny side at the time!!) we had actually used the lockup for the first time on the Wednesday evening. .. Not for our car key though. Thanks to the fantastic community on here, a very helpful poster recommended we use the lockup on Pennard Hill to store our trolley (used in the day to transport our toddler around the site) in every night to save us carting it up and down the dreaded Worthy View hill! So yes, we did use the lockup there and the staff in that one were fantastic! As to were the lost property staff when we went up to that tent above Big Ground on the Saturday. I could not get my head around the size of the operation up in the lost property tent! It was phenomenal to see the systems and structure they had in place. Whilst our key was not there (Very helpful security guard at Worthy View decided not to send our key down to the main lost property tent as I am told is protocol but instead kept it in the security cabin for 4 days!), we did see several ecstatic people being reunited with wallets, keys, sun glasses etc. I have rambled here a bit I know, but having had the rather horrible experience of losing something so important at the festival it was actually very interesting seeing more if the infrastructure of the place.. Behind the curtain to a certain extent and just a reminder how mind boggling the whole thing is!
  7. May well be one of those grape vine rumours that tend to spread at large events and prove to be BS.. But was told the chopper taking off to the right hand side of the stage about 25 mins after his set was definitely him. We sat down on the grass exactly where we stood for Elton after he finished to let the crowds pass and saw said chopper go up.. We did think at the time it was probably him. Also told that it was tracked on one of those flight tracker apps and he was back home within 20 mins or something ridiculous. How the other half live eh?!
  8. I mean, can't some things just be nice things to be enjoyed without them having a sinister meaning? Pretty sure you can be for peace and also think jets flying in formation is quite cool.
  9. In my tent having just 5 minutes prior found my missing car key (had been handed in to the security hut at Worthy View) after 48 hours of stress and approx 1 hour after being quoted £600 to replace the missing key by AA! A euphoric moment for sure!

    Glastocam!

I had no idea this was a thing! Thanks very much!
  12. Madonna would be the only one who might tempt me... Would depend who else is on as you say. Would imagine she would draw a huge crowd so if she did play they would likely want at least one other pretty big name on other / woodsie to try and tempt crowds away as they did this year with Elton.
  13. Agree that all three make sense, guess just personal preference would see me elsewhere. However, as we all know, Glasto is about far more than the pyramid stage! So I have no issue what so ever with spending my evening in Woodsie or at other.
