  1. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

I do believe I've just had one of the best weekends of my life outside of glastonbury. The wedding was just beautiful... and bonkers. What a party. My body hurts from dancing like a lunatic. Windermere is such a fantastic place and the dome house is just awesome!! Joyce and Phil looked absolutely amazing, and they have the most loveliest family and friends. This won't be a weekend I'll forget any time soon. May your life together be full of happiness. It was so great to see @lucyginger, @ICGenie, @deebeedoobee, @pilton digger, @stuartbert two hats, Deb and Simon, Richard and JP. A real Glastonbury reunion. See most of you at boomtown!!
  2. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

My sister and I have been for afternoon tea today. The jam/cream debate continued. I say cream then jam, she said jam then cream. Now judge for yourselves... hers was a bit of a mess and mine was OCD tidy. @dizzymoo that's a fantastic result for your son! Congratulations to him! @lucyginger so sorry to hear you're going through real life shit. It is actually shit. I've had a shitstorm at work (literally!!) and dealing with an alcoholic friend and my close mate diagnosed with bowel cancer. Life isn't fair sometimes. Hugs to you lovely one. @Spacey, if I decide to go to Beautiful days would you fancy camping together? I really don't want to go it alone. Send me a message with your fb name and I'll add you. Thanx to the rest of you for the reviews. It does sound lovely!!
  3. VFestival 2017

I guessed that too but I think it's rude of people to downvote others for their personal tastes. And the OP is a newbie. And I like to remind members that gold members can see who's downvoted.
  4. VFestival 2017

    why the downvote @rhg_99?
  5. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

I shall look for a jolly man in a colourful outfit if i do go! Oooh to be in Minorca... I'm at work on nights surrounded by the smell of urine and faeces!! You enjoy
  6. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

Now that festival I'm very interested in Mr G! At least I think that's the one... Is it in Exeter? I think I may have to go there next year. I sort of have a plan coming together... Boomtown, camp in Weymouth, then off to Beautiful days.I can justify the drive then. Problem is I don't like doing these things alone so I need to find some company! Let us know how it goes please. How was beautiful Weymouth? My favourite restaurant in the world is there, Ming Wahs. It's family run and they are just so lovely.
  7. Glasto 2017 from the eyes of a first timer

11:09am Thursdsay June 24th 2010, sitting in a sliver of shade outside of cocktails and dreams, watching a 10ft breakdancing grasshopper, and a faerie on stilts put a peg on the brim of my hat with a message on a gift tag. (I still have it.) My heart swelled in that moment and I just had to ring my nana, my favourite person, and try to explain how I felt. That was my very first Glasto Moment. What about you S2H?
  8. Glastocam!

Obvs! Just been reading your Kate Tempest thread 3 pages back. Sounds incredible. I always come home wishing I'd seen something I'd missed that someone else had seen and said was amazing... But I was clearly having the time of my life elsewhere. I'm going to have to Youtube Kate Tempest when I get home from work.
  9. Glastocam!

Funny innit... Same artist, same song, different location... All good. Watch a re-run from Glasto and you have all of the emotion you had at the time you were there, and blubbering wreck sums up alot of my Glastonbury, from sheer happiness!
  10. One month on...

Great first post Thankyou for the positive vibes... This time will pass and soon we will all be rejoicing and praising the ticket gods! Now when will the Glasto dreams stop? I wake up either very happy (and then get sad as I'm not there) or very panicky (and then relief as it was just a dream). Why can't everyone in real life be as beautiful as Glastofarians?
  11. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

Now that is a cracking idea! I'd be well up for that if it included a hot shower at the end! Happy weekend Guy!
  12. Glasto 2017 from the eyes of a first timer

@Nimrod that was so lovely to read, it brought a tear to my eye. I will never forget the precise moment I fell in love with Glastonbury and its people. The endorphins released when I think of memories are better than any drug could produce. Thanx for sharing mate.
  13. Glastocam!

Gnom this actually made me laugh! Only us lot understand
  14. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

What are the 'clicky titles' Georgie? I had a dream with the lovely Slodge in it today. He let me use his 2 bed vacant flat located at Gate C as I didn't have a groundsheet in my tent. But GFL wouldn't let me come into the fest through Gate C and I had to walk to Gate A!! But it was lovely to see Simon and Deb for a bit. Is he Slodge/ Splodge or Slodge66 these days?
  15. One month on...

And 2011!! I can't seem to shake the emotional rollercoaster I'm on at the minute Stu, honest to god, I need a good knees up with some fellow Glasto goers... Oooh err, Hang on!
  16. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

Made me laugh @SecretGlasto I've never used the app, I tried once to get it and I couldn't. I've got a shortcut on my phone screen.
  17. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

Lovely photo Mr G!!!I love Dorset, I miss Weymouth, Portland and Lulworth cove so much! I can't work out what has changed with the page as I'm normally on my phone.I can see there's a like button.
  18. One month on...

Not ashamed to say I read this thread this morning and my eyes leaked! I miss the farm so much, the blues are alot worse this year. I don't remember being this bad in 2011.
  19. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

Hi guys, loving the fact I can use efests at work... Until i get caught that is Mr Dribble I will pray to the weather gods for your trip to the farm... Have a lovely time! I'd love to just 'pop' down but it's a bit a fair treck for me!
  20. NFR NFC - to tide you over the fallow year

Hi Guys!!! Very excited to learn that I can now post on my work computer!! @Milky Joe it was so lovely to meet you. And I'm glad you enjoyed Brian Wilson... He did nothing for me! Editors on the other hand... I'm still drooling haha! The other concoction you drank was rhubarb and custard vodka and I seem to remember you liking it as much as the divine CB. I'm already booked for next year and yesterday bagged Emporers tickets, but I have a feeling I'll be selling those as the rest of my crew are general camping. I'm possibly looking to go to Bingley Live next month as I can't face this being indoors business. After the mud of Kendal, I went camping in Filey and the mud and w*t stuff was just as bad, with a little more wind! I now need to re thread 2 poles for the 10 man. I would love a Kate Chidley print. You can spend ages looking at it and never see two things twice.
  21. Standout act of the festival

I cried real life happy tears during Jake Bugg and Stereophonics but I think that was more to do with being in my happy place. Loved The Pale White, I'd never heard of them before but wow, they have such stage presence. I'm also a little bit in love with the Editors Geezer! @Comfy Bean I'd quite like to see Sigrid, Christine and Lorde after only catching part sets of them at Glasto. All of them were brilliant and something really quite special.
  22. 2017 Weather thread

I have re waterproofed my jacket. I'm good to go!
  23. Won VIP Tickets - need a car park ticket

I didn't know that! Cheeky! The car park ticket is a hanger that hangs from your mirror.
  24. Won VIP Tickets - need a car park ticket
